Depending on variety, you plant them then leave alone for 3-5 years. There is only a short harvest time then you leave it alone again til next season. They spread and will continue to grow for 20+ years. I don't plant many of one thing because it's only 2 of us. So I think I harvested to much the first time. So I planted more the following year. Last year some new baby plants started popping up in strawberry bed below.

We had asparagus growing when we moved here but didn't realize it since it had been cut down, then we built a garden over top, so some grew inside the garden and a bunch right on the outside. I let one of them keep growing and ended up with a 4-foot asparagus tree!! :rolleyes:

Same weather here, cool and looks like rain. :eek:

It's very possible this was a sort of a fur shot. I shaved spot on her sides where I shoot. This morning I tented the spot, something I normally don't do and gave her insulin. I sure if she actually got it as I didn't feel the resistance when pulling out needle.

Report not in on Tripper yet. I'm leaning toward an allergy with chicken and or fish. Her gab is chicken flavored and the ff beef smells more fishy. I've been giving her the chicken VE since her appt last Wednesday because of the beef. Ears don't seem any better.
 
Interesting cycle to say the least. I did not check the 311 as it wouldn't necessarily be off for her as of late. It could have been a wonky strip though.

Trips ears especially the right ear is bright red and scabbed all down her neck. I call the doctor at urgent care to see if her allergy tests came in, Dr is off today, though the staff did not see results in computer. I stopped giving her the FF Beef the only wet food she would eat for years, the last 3 cases have a horrendous smell of fish, makes me gag. All cats now refuse to eat it. Trip is eating the VE chicken patties for the last week. I'm thinking she might be allergic to what ever fish they are now adding into the food and possibly chicken. Tonight I started the duck VE patties to see how that goes. Otherwise I don't know what to feed her. She won't touch venison. I don't have rabbit VE yet. I am on hold with chewy who just disconnected me after waiting 26 minutes on hold. I want a refund of the 3 cases I just got and to order the VE in all the flavors. None like weruva, I and Love and You, Clean Protein have all been refused by them. The local rescue is going to love getting all this food. I might have to start making food again. Trip didn't eat it back then. Tux and Trip did not like the smell of EZComplete. Don't know about Ollie or PJ.

Are there other supplement mixes I can try?
 
Same at my place for the FF Beef, it was ok before, but not anymore... they smell it, leave it there and wait for something else! They seem to add fish in all flavors, looks like a cheap filler ....:(

If they didn't like EZComplete, this one could be interesting https://tcfeline.com ; it was suggested to me by Wendy; you can get a very good size sample for $7.00 cdn (a bargain for you) ;)!

The fish smell of FF now is horrendous. I think it might be the cause of Trips ears. They either added more fish or changed the kind they use. Sent complaint to them.

VE is vital essentials freeze dried raw.
 
So I call chewy to refund the ff I just got. On hold 26 minutes, finally get a not so bright person and she disconnects me. I call back on hold over an hour. Got my refund and ordered a bunch of VE in all flavors and gave me 10% discount. Chewy said FF has not notified them of any changes to the food, but some people are complaining.

Have you ever tried lamb for Tripper? Quite a bit cheaper than rabbit. I hope the duck works. I hate playing the protein game. :rolleyes:

No haven't thought of lamb. Will have to Google to find some. I did try I think it was ziwipeke way back when trying to get her off dry but she wouldn't eat it.
