Ravan's doing good. He's eating OK & acting normal.

(I'm fighting with Bronchitis, feels like i got hit by a truck!) I've been sleeping a lot for a few days Haven't been testing Ravan as much.

I like seeing the yellow since yesterday. It's good when the bg is flat like that with Lantus. Right?

Maybe I'll see some blues in a day or two?

Thanks for checking on us!

What happened ! bg 566 I thought everything was going good & now this huge increase?

I checked twice on the same meter & also used a new meter i bought recently. I couldn't believe the reading.

I'm very concerned . What could have caused this? I did not do a fur shot. I did one Once & I'm very careful now to make sure it's not a fur shot. I'm very worried for Ravan!

He's been eating only his raw meat today.

I just checked ketones neg. OK Now a new development., Ravan started looking around the room where his litter box is. He looked like he wanted to hide( not normal at all for him)

He even tried to jump up between the furnace & the wall . The space is too small. This is scaring me . His behaviour is not at all normal!

No chance of carby contraband? He could be just bouncing from spending so much time in flat yellows. Or it's possible this is a high before going low, though that seems awfully high for that. The good news is that he's not feeling good in black, so his body is adjusting and liking lower numbers.

No Carbs. Only raw meat for the last few days.

Now I'm confused about bouncing. I thought they bounce if they drop down low suddenly, like after a dose increase. I was glad Ravan was having steady yellow. I was thinking he might gradually drop down to blue.

I read somewhere that Lantus is working good if you see a flat bg with very little up or down. That's why I was happy to see the yellow since yesterday.

This was a big jump I'm still not sure i understand what caused it?

Bounces are caused by going lower than they are used to, fast drops, or sometimes just spending too long a time in numbers they aren't used to. The fast drops could be any time, not just after a dose increase.

By contraband, I was wondering if he snuck any of your food.

The ideal Lantus cycle is flat, though even better if in lower numbers. Flat yellows in some cats means a active cycle to follow.
