Good Morning from Camp Stu,

Rusty has accomplished the inevitable bounce and hopefully will come down today. We won't be around to test him until the mid afternoon, however. We had a good night. Cold: in the 40s. Rusty did lots of snuggling and head butting all night long. He is a happy cat. He ate all his nighttime food, but hasn't eaten much of his breakfast yet. We had to put the heater on this morning!
We and our friends who live nearby are going to paddle on Indian Lake today, down to the beach and back--about 10 miles in all. It is supposed to be windy, but should be a good day. This evening is our annual dinner at Melody Lodge in Speculator (we take them out to dinner every season to thank them for taking care of our cabin for us). So Rusty will have to eat lunch from his automat and will have the radio to keep him company for a few hours this evening, after his dinner and shot. And of course he and his pals will be doing camp-type stuff.
Finally got the laptop working OK. Much easier to type on a real keyboard. Wishing you all a good day. bbl.

Hey kitties: fishin' off the dock and paddling today. The water is COLD, so we probably won't want to go swimming. Tess: don't fall in!!

Ella, how could Rusty not be a happy cat; he lives with you and Edward. :-D

I'm sure his buddies will be stopping by to keep him company. They all love Camp Stu.

It's cold here too. Woke up to 44f, this morning, and turned on the furnace. Brrrr!

Rusty just caught a tree squirrel. He killed it, but we took it away because we were afraid of what it might be carrying. Boy is Rusty ever fast.

Hey Rusty, wanna come here and catch the mouse, residing under the stove? That rascal is outwitting all three of us, even tho Clancy spends the evening in front of stove waiting.

Hi again,
Yes, we got back early because it was too windy to go the distance we had planned. Rusty hadn't eaten the rest of his breakfast or his lunch and was sleeping. So we tested him and showed him his food and he gobbled it up. Then he slept again until +10. His hunt wore him out! Gave him a small snack. PMPS will be abOut 20 minutes early because of our dinner engagement. Rusty seems to be slightly favoring a rear foot. But i think he is ok.

Back this evening.

It looks like Camp Stu agrees with the Mighty Hunter.

Hey, Rusty. You were robbed! I have a chipmunk up here. He sits on the other side of the window and stares at me. I think I could take him, but I can't figure out the door thing. Any ideas?

I am so impressed that Rusty caught a squirrel. He must be feeling really good and fast. Camp Stu definitely agrees with him. I've only seen squirrels taunt cats around here. We have one here who charged/scolded at Neko one time from the other side of a base of a tree, and made her jump back. Now she mostly just watches and dreams of catching them.

Nice catch Rusty! I bet you were pretty proud of your accomplishments:)

Paddling in the wind is hard work. Hoping it calms for you soon so you can pop the boat in sometime soon:)

Rusty, you caught a squirrel, yikes! What a nice cycle for him today. I think Rusty likes visiting Camp Stu.

Camp Stu sounds very exciting. And what a good hunter is Rusty! Looks like the hunting exercise brought down those BGs. :mrgreen:

great Numbers for him today too - I think Camp Stu life appeals to him. :-D

The Mighty Hunter is exhausted and has a sore left foot. He must have pulled something! So we're all heading off to sleep. It's cold here tonight. The +4.5 has some food behind it, and maybe some fatigue.

See you all tomorrow. Our group paddle tomorrow has been cancelled, but we will paddle here on the lake, weather permitting.

Sorry to have missed almost all condos today. Will try to do better tomorrow.
