She seemed eager for breakfast, but walked away after eating 1 Tbsp or less. I followed her, and she did eventually finish over 2 Tbsp of breakfast. That's our goal for first breakfast. I know she'll likely eat more in an hour or 2.

She tried to duck away when I sat on the floor and showed her the testing kit, but as soon as I set her on my lap, she was purring away. She cried a little when I gave the shot - not sure if it's the harpoon needle, the Lantus, me pinching a fold of skin or just being held without petting. She still purred though.

She seems in a good mood. She darted around a little and then went up her ramp and hopped onto her box on her porch to lie near her window and survey her kingdom. Notice all items are prefixed by "her". That's not accidental.

Shhh... I don't think she realizes it yet, but tomorrow is her birthday! 18 years old!!!!

Wow, Kasha will be 18 years old tomorrow! Well, shhhh, Happy Birthday a little early. She can start celebrating early! Will this be another take out breakfast day. I didn't get out yesterday, so I'm feeling some cabin fever today.

No take out this morning, but just to make sure I don't go back to my healthy ways before the holiday is over, I had a mini-apple pie for breakfast - LOL. Goes well with the malt I had for dinner last night! I may break down and scramble up some of those organic eggs for me and Kasha a little later. She's off her chicken - just not that interested in it. I even tried putting some organic chicken broth on it and she was not interested. Now, if I feed her little bits by hand, she likes it just fine, but that's a little impractical at times.

Well... she's been getting LC snacks every hour since +2 and she's still at 79 now at +4... I just gave her another spoonful of LC and I'm going to make us some scrambled eggs - see if she wants any...

It looks like she has figured out that green numbers are the way to earn the good kind of fuds.

Someone did quite a bit of surfing in the greens today! And I think someone's bean was pretty happy!

(Don't be surprised if Kasha bounces. She's not used to these numbers!)
 
434. Well, we've seen worse. I know - the inevitable bounce. No, I'm not surprised. In fact, I'm riding so high on a cloud from our day in the greens that it's barely phasing me.

The princess wouldn't get out of bed to get dinner, so I brought her bowl to her. I placed it in front of her but the way she was curled, she was kind of curled around the bowl. Not the most comfy position, but she wanted to eat there and she was so great today (and tomorrow's her birthday) - what could I do? LOL...
She only ate around 1 Tbsp - until I got out the chicken dust. Then she ate another Tbsp. And another. 3 Tbsp total for dinner. Not bad...

I went to Whole Foods today and picked up some of the probiotic Sienne recommended (Renew Ultimate Flora, I believe). If you look at my SS, I bet you can tell exactly when I went there - LOL... Today was all about Kasha (and a little about cleaning out a cupboard and planting some lettuce and herbs).

Now I'm going to have some cake. Hey - the holiday's not over yet!

LOL, I'm having frozen pizza for dinner and was debating whether to throw some cookies in the oven while it's on anyway. I think I decided on ice cream instead of cookies for dessert. Easier. Back to normal eating tomorrow, I guess...

Yeah - the probiotics I usually take have a few (maybe 3) billion active cultures... This one has 50 billion. Pretty powerful, indeed.
