Good morning, PZI-ers!! Reveille, reveille, get out of the sheets and on to your feets and hit the streets a runnin'!!

5/30
491 PMPS -- .6U
355 +3
360 +10
459 AMPS -- .8U

I've never been able to figure out a "normal" BG range for a day -- 100 "points" difference between high and low numbers? Or less? Or more? Since Chuck is all over the place, I'm happy with a high/low range of about 100, but should it be less?

Re: 5/31 Chuck 459 AMPS

One way to figure it is to stay with the generally accepted regulated numbers - mid 200s at preshot and double digits at nadir but over 40. So that suggests a little over a 50% drop at nadir which is pretty good. He could have dropped that much yesterday if he went down between the +3 and +10, which we would expect. So the "smile" is okay - just generally higher than we would like, but that was on .6 Maybe stay with the .8 a few more cycles and see how he looks?

Re: 5/31 Chuck 459 AMPS

Well, now that my pea brain is wrapped around 2U on the U100 syringes, he'll be getting that .8 for a few cycles. I may bump it to a full unit on Sunday, since I'll be home all day Sunday and Monday (work Saturday, get Monday off)...

Re: 5/31 Chuck 459 AMPS; 300 +3; 255 +7; 473 PMPS

459 AMPS to 473 PMPS, with a dip to 255 at +7 -- am I starting to see a smile? Unless he takes a nosedive in the next day, I'll up his dose to a full unit Sunday morning since I'll be around to keep an eye on him...

Yes, there is your smile! Yay, and no crazy diving and zooming.

I like your plan for Sunday.

Re: 5/31 Chuck 459 AMPS; 300 +3; 255 +7; 473 PMPS

<WHEW!!!> Finally!! A smile! Now, if he can just hold it... I'm back to free feeding, leaving out frozen cubes during the day, and feeding when I come home at lunch, whether I need to come home or not. He's probably back to 2 1/2 cans of FF daily...

Free feeding is fine, let him eat as much as he needs until he's better regulated. Just remove the food 2 hours prior to PS tests so they are not food inflated.

Slowely raising the dose by .25u will eventually get rid of the red PS's. Doing it slowely will prevent missing the best dose and won't start the roller coaster of bouncing.

You're doing great.
