Early this morning, Mr. Simon had another pukus episode and then he presented me with a very green AMPS. I went ahead and shot the full dose but am going to give him some mc food before I leave for work. I have to be at a meeting all day downtown and won't be back for a check at lunch. Luckily, DH is close by and will come back and test and give lc, mc, or hc food depending on what Simon's numbers are. Last night, I accidentally gave Simon Miralax in his food instead of giving it to Cleo. That may have been the problem with his tummy issues this morning. Needless to say, he had a very healthy lb action today. He did his Miss Maggie zoom zoom's all over the house after he was done!

After my meeting, I am going to go to the vet with Simon to get the Adequan for his first shot. Keeping paws and fingers crossed that this will help his stiffness.

Have a wonderful day!

Re: 5/30 Simon AMPS 74

Hi Georgia, nice green AMPS for Simon. I can see how that would happen with the Miralax and wrong kitty when you work all day and are tired. Glad your cousin is doing a little better and sending vines for her. Good luck with Vetty and the Adequan today.

Re: 5/30 Simon AMPS 74

Nice green!!! Woohoo!! Icky on the pukus. Hopefully it was just a one time thing and Simon is feeling better now. Oh yes on the miralmax. It happens and at least Simon gave you a nice big present to remind you of it. Good luck on your meeting. I'm glad DH is close by.

Good luck vetty vines for you today! I am excited to hear how the adequan goes. I bet it will help Simon a lot. Have a great day Georgia!

Lovely green start for Simon! And that DH! He's a treasure; test, give food? Wow! Is there any recommended trainning school for my DH?
Hope Simon surf on the green & a happy & smooth vet visit!

Re: 5/30 Simon AMPS 74 PMPS 359 1st Adequan shot

We are back from the vet for Simon's first Adquan shot. The high BG is probably due to the stress at the vet and also the mc food I gave him this morning. I decided to have the vet tech do the first series of shots for Simon and then do the rest at home subq. Simon didn't mind the shot at all except he is now very hungry and looks a little tired.

Ann, Melissa, Helen, Devon and Tracy, thanks for visiting today and for the well wishes. I am excited to see how the Adequan helps Simon. I sure hope to see a little more spring in his step soon.

Helen, training DH didn't take too long. He is such a sweetie and caught on pretty quickly to the test, shoot and feed routine. He is definitely a keeper.

Ann, thanks for the healing vines for my cousin. It is going to be a long, difficult road ahead but I hope we get her settled somewhere soon.

Re: 5/30 Simon AMPS 74 PMPS 359 1st Adequan shot

Hi Georgia

Hope the adequan helps Simon.

I'm starting Sidney on the Adequan tomorrow. I've never given Sid a shot before. Should prove interesting.

Maybe Simon and Sid will be doing the Texas Two Step in the next month. Paws crossed.

Re: 5/30 Simon AMPS 74 PMPS 359 1st Adequan shot

I hope the Adequan helps Simon!! For Mario, it took a couple weeks before we started seeing results, and it took a couple months before we REALLY started seeing results, but in a nutshell, we could tell pretty quickly that he was responding positively.

Okey dokey Simon...time to come down!!

Re: 5/30 Simon AMPS 74 PMPS 359 1st Adequan shot

Paws crossed for good results with the Adequan. Simon, I hope you can find some lower floors tonight.

Re: 5/30 Simon AMPS 74 PMPS 359 1st Adequan shot

How much MC did you give your boy? I hope he comes back down to a prettier floor. Keep us posted on how he does on the Adequan.

Anne, it looks like Simon did find the lower floor tonight. Yay!

Tena, I sure hope Sid does well tomorrow with the Adequan and good luck with his shot!

Amy, I think I am expecting Simon to be tons better with just a couple of shots. Thanks for letting me know that it might take longer and to not get upset when I don't see immediate results.

Sienne, I only gave 2 spoonfuls of MC, so I'm thinking that with the +4 of 235, Simon was more stressed with the vet visit than due to the MC. It was such a big jump from this morning.

GEORGIA!!! I have the Adequan here in the house with the syringes(BIG :o )
Please Let us know how Simon is doing with the Adequan--You are my example cat--Hope he does great, if so, I will start Moonie asap on it--Hugs Love & Luck from us!! Lubs You!!! Ni Ni

Good luck with the Adequan!! Champ has done very well on it. Melissa is right...it will take a little while to see the effects. Champ tends to become very "awake" for a few hours after his shot. He's now at the one shot per month phase, but I can tell he's going to need it more often than that. He's probably going to end up getting one shot every two weeks because it tends to wear off for him right about at that point. Giving the shot is the easiest thing in the world so I know you'll be fine!! Have a great evening!!
