I did a double take when I saw those numbers! That +7 is almost GREEN!!! It sure does look like the infection was having an effect on Gus' numbers.

Just wondering....is there anyone out there in case I have to shoot low? If Gus' # is lower than +11, I plan to stall. I usually end up giving the insulin between +1 and +2. Up until +1, no food and see if the # goes up by itself. If into the 40s, small amts of food until he rises. Get a +1 and a +2 post-shot.

It sounds like you've got the routine down. You might want to make sure numbers are on the rise.

Just caught up on Gus' past few days... so glad you were able to quickly get to the bottom of the post-dental issues and get Gus back on track and out of pain! He is looking great tonight!!
