Here's hoping the pizza's out of his system!
Doesn't seem frantic hungry this morning and even tackled Angus a few minutes ago.

Have you introduced Fax to Mr. Tinkles? They both seem to have a craving for contraband. What a silly kitty.

Yes, pizza!!! I had even wrapped it up while it was cooling to prevent the raccoon like break in. I think he gained about 4 lbs from it.

He never had a nose for human food before diabetes - now its like having a dog in the house!!

:lol: :lol: thanks for the giggles! i had a cat named Felix that passed away about 4 years ago and he was SUCH a scavenger! ohmygosh, he would lick at spots on the floor. poor guy - we had him on weight loss food (dry food, sadly) and he only got 1/8 cp (2 TABLESPOONS) twice a day and he still weighed 20 pounds. That was down from his all-time high of 24 lbs. he always seemed starving and we hardly fed him at all, but he still was moose-sized.

How is Fax feeling overall today - does he seem happy, is he cleaning himself, playing?

yes, even on diet food Faxy is a fatso. well, we just like to say he is big boned...

lowest pmps all week!
big snack at +9.5 - 4 mice - all within about 45 mins. he is a machine!
this is no joke - i had to call my husband because i was so amazed!!
 
Almost in the blue!

He is still pretty hungry - even after the amount he has eaten today. I'm pretty sure he is gaining weight again but a little weight is fine with me as long as his numbers keep creeping down. He is also kinda sleepy but that could be due to a food coma?

It is very obvious that since the food switch his readings are better.
 
Nice! It looks like Fax likes to go lower at night. I hope he will continue to go down and you'll see some blue tonight. I know it's baby steps, but steps in the right direction.

EVO is pretty high calorie...you may need to cut the portion size. If he is already overweight, you don't want to add any more weight. I know he's very hungry, but that's because he's unregulated....it doesn't mean he needs more food. Extra food will also make it harder to get his numbers down, so you want to be careful about overfeeding.

Have you been able to get a ketone test? Besides being sleepy, is he acting normally? I see he caught 4 mice today...wow, that doesn't sound sleepy to me! :lol:
