Beware the supermoon this Saturday fll_moon  http://news.yahoo.com/supermoon-may-outshine-meteor-shower-weekend-201132286.html Bgs may be extra bouncy and some cats might end up way up where they don't belong.

Leroy has been under the influence of the upcoming supermoon all week ohmygod_smile Just take his normal craziness and multiply it by like 500 ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile It seems like every few minutes I have to tell Leroy "NO!" @-) Of course, with his ADD he runs off only to go back to doing whatever he shouldn't be doing ohmygod_smile

Sent a complaint form with pictures to NV about large bone fragments in the raw food. Leroy had one stuck in his mouth today ohmygod_smile Fortunately he wasn't bothered by it and I only found out after the fragment got dislodged and fell out as I was brushing his teeth.

I saw these neat recipies that would be great for entertaining, especially with summer just around the corner
Non-Alcoholic Sangria
Iced Chrysanthemum Tea
Lemonade Tarts

i confess i've never understood the full moon thing - so their BG is supposed to go higher than usual with a full moon? i'll have to pay attention and see what happens with punkin.

where did you say there was summer? because it sure isn't here. it's been gray and mooky here in the Pac NW. i think it was wendy/neko that called our weather "drismal." that's a perfect description.

could someone send some of their extra summer our way, please? :-D

then i guess i better pay attention!

perhaps that's why i haven't really gotten it, because i thought others had said kitties might have lower BGs than usual. apparently everyone is right! ;-)

I hear it's in the 90s in the NC area. Where I am, it's cold, cloudy, and wet :-Q Memorial Day is later this month and is the "unofficial" start of summer for many people. Probably will spend the holiday stuck inside working as usual :? but the extra money is always needed.

For some reason my brain read the condo title as supermom and recipie sharing

 We're all supermoms here :-D

Got a somewhat generic response from NV:

Just respond to this e-mail with your physical mailing address and we'll send those coupons out to you right away. Again, sorry for your experience.

No other reports of bone gettng stuck on teeth? Must be a problem with my civies then  ohmygod_smile Or I just bought two bags with large bone fragments. Seriously, though, NV needs to grind the bone and cartilage more finely. Or I could do homemade raw but Emma will not touch plain raw meat.

Squishy would always do a huge bg bounce during a full moon and it took him days to come back down.

Thanks for sharing that link. Interesting information. Maybe that's why Racci's been green and blue the last couple of days? I'll take it. I wonder if we'll see anything. They say the southern hemisphere has the best chance though.

I haven't noticed a different in Ruby's numbers but our civvie, Midgie, is DRIVING US INSANE!
She's normally very much the loner cat. Not a cuddler and petting is only allowed on her terms. This week she has been following us both around the house, wanting constant attention and will not shut up! Jabber, jabber, jabber, jabber. Non stop. I totally blame the supermoon!

squeem3, not sure if you'd remember but a few years ago my late Kitty got into some trouble with NV raw medallions. knowing me i surely did post about it on the board but who knows for sure. :-)

i had fed her some of a medallion and soon after she was flipping her head around, slapping at her face with both her front paws, and just plain wouldn't stop. my first thought was she was choking. grabbed her and tried to get a good look into her mouth but nothing was obvious and she wouldn't let us do much with her so we grabbed her up and got her to the vet. once at the vet they ultimately found she had a pretty good cut on her gums but that was it. since she had just eaten NV literally right before we all decided she got cut with a piece of bone.

after that i would squish the medallion between my fingers and pick out any decent sized bone fragment i felt before giving it to her. i missed one though because the same thing happened within months of that first time only this time i was able to see the cut on her gums and didn't have to rush her off to the vet. i of course was a bit more diligent with my squishing after that second time again :-)

Scary :o Glad Kitty was ok. I do smush up the nuggets with a spoon before feeding. Neither civie will eat it otherwise  After the scare with Emma, I've been picking out the large fragments and cartilage. Somehow I missed the one that was in Leroy's mouth ohmygod_smile It's the one on the left of the dime in this picture It's not as big as the ones on Dr. Lisa's web site, though the one that got stuck on Emma's tooth was close.
