Yesterday's Condo

I have no idea where Gabby's numbers went last night that she's starting out this low this morning. It makes me a little nervous. All 5 Ps are present and accounted for. In fact, the more aromatic of the Ps was deposited while I was showering (ewwww.....) - the LBs are in my bathroom.

Gabby is lounging about. The only one who's nervous here is Gabby's bean who cam flying home to check on her. (She got some MC at AMPS and at +2 and the feeder was stocked, but I'm not sure who's been eating.)

What an awesome day for Miss Gabby! I know it's nerve-wracking to have to leave when you have #s like that, but you seem to be doing a great job handling it and keeping her surfing. :-D

Either D's tank pictures scared the numbers out of Gabby or those mini meals
have started to have a great effect on her.

geeze gabby .. didn't I tell you no dramatic drops? Or did you think that was just during the day? Now be a good girl and start surfing up in the 60s and 70s!

I think a 31 at +2.5 means business, I'm not sure you could have prevented that with food. Did you feed HC or MC at the 52? Let's see what Jill says, but it looks to me like you'll probably have to try a dose shave.

I fed a HC + LC combo that was heavy on the HC at the 52. Gabby got an extra bit of the high octane stuff a minute or two after it sunk in that it was a 150+ drop early in the cycle. She got more HC at +2.5 and has been getting MC ever since. (Gizmo really, really likes HC fuds! Gabby doesn't mind either but Giz is inhaling the stuff!)

I think between not knowing where Gabby's numbers were last night, the green AMPS and I was giving some MC this AM since I wanted her surfing and I was at tbp plus her numbers on 4/30, it seems like Gabby may be ready for a shave. But, I would like Jill to take a look.

yes, take the shave. you don't want her dipping that low when you're at tbp.
next time (you know there'll be a next time :-D ) try giving her hc only (no mc) with a number like 52 at the beginning of the cycle. if the 52 came mid-cycle you might want to feed mc. late cycle, lc. when using food manipulation, what you want to do is use food to try to keep her above 50. the hard part is learning what carb food to feed when with your cat. you'll have to experiment a little bit to tweak those guidelines for gabby since ECID.

do you think gabby would eat if you divided her breakfast up into 4 equal portions fed at ps, +1, +2, and +3? some kitties will, some won't. just asking because she often drops early and i'm wondering if loading up the first part of the cycle will slow that early drop down.

She is getting her morning food spread out over PS, +1, 2, and 3 and sometimes a snack at +4. I'm often out the door a little after +2. She probably gets a little more food at PS and +1 than she does at +2 and 3. (The first 2 portions are raw and I just don't like keeping it defrosted overly long.) I noted the shift in feeding schedule on 4/14 on Gabby's SS in the Remarks section.
 
ah, ok... sorry, my mistake. i didn't read the remarks that far back.
just thinking out loud... maybe try adding a little higher carb food to the raw for the first mini-meal or two?
