Yesterday. Caber Yr 2 Day 211

One year ago on this date Ollie's AMPS was 100. What happened?????

Tomorrow will increase.

Today is gorgeous outside and I'm going to mulch the peonies and bleeding hearts planted in the fall and check out the asparagus beds.

6 residents are + covid and 11 more have been tested and pending results.

pending results.

The more people that have had a mild case of the virus the more that will get "herd" immunity.
" Herd immunity was recognized as a naturally occurring phenomenon in the 1930s when it was observed that after a significant number of children had become immune to measles, the number of new infections decreased, including among susceptible children "
(Pharmaceutical companies prefer we all get a vaccine for immunity)

Enjoy your time outside!

Well that blue was short lived.

I was generating some vit d today. Got the peonies and bleeding hearts mulched and half a garden around tree mulched. Tomorrow if weather holds I'll do other half and start the asparagus beds. Mulch/wood chips which were free are not near the gardens so it's hauling litter buckets up hill. Today was 4 trips. Asparagus is father away and last 2 tiers are up a rocky slope.

Ornamental grass is not coming in this year. It grew on both sides of a very large vertical rock slab at start of driveway for 13 hrs that I know of. Maybe I will plant sunflowers on both sides.

Glad you are increasing. I'd go with the full 0.25 this time. Just one of those things with acros, up and down.

I am jealous of your outdoor time. I was about to, then the hail started. Blue sky in the distance, maybe later. Oops, just heard thunder.

Sending tons of stay safe vines for your dad.:bighug: I can so relate to worry of our elderly fathers being too close to Covid patients.

Well just after testing, she started vomiting the white foamy stuff. Not interested in eating. Went and increased tonight. 5 units on board. She'll eat later, at least that's what she done before.

@Wendy&Neko thinking of asking vet but I doubt she will know anything, on adding the Octreotide acetate. I do have to try and understand the research on it. They have a short term which is daily and long term which is monthly. Do you have any insight into this?

Hail you can keep, it's April for crying out loud. We are suppose to go back to 30's overnight mid week so I guess planting still has to wait. We hit 78 today, nice to have windows open.

Dad is very frail, I don't think he would be able to fight it. He doesn't remember why I can't see him. The staff says he still "cute".

Sorry, no insight on the octreotide, other than what MJW posted here on a response from RVC about dose for short acting/daily. Plus there was a little bit in one of the articles I posted on Maxi's condo yesterday. Been a while since anyone has looked up the cost of pasireotide (Signifor and Signifor LAR), which is the better solution. Just really expensive last anyone looked.

I hope Ollie's appy picks up.

My dad is cracking jokes in the hospital, so I know he's not doing too bad. Just too much pain to put weight on the broken leg yet. I'm putting together a little document with pictures of the family for him, so he can at least "see" us. They will send "runners" down to pick up packages for the patients.

Can you talk on the phone?
Unfortunately no. He doesn't have a cell phone, probably wouldn't know how to use it if I got one for him, and the "community" phone they share around in normal times is not permitted under current rules. Plus I'm not sure it would work anyway with his hearing issues. He has a special phone at home.

Good to hear Ollie is eating. looks like you get to sleep tonight. I finally got out and mucked about in the yard.:)
