Finally coherent enough to get Champ's condo started. Champ surprised me with a freakin' 51 last night!!!! After the numbers he had yesterday, I just wasn't expecting a late night. Make sure everyone reminds me for next time...Champ is carb sensitive, start with lc food only, buy Kevlar gloves because he's mean and evil when he's in low numbers and you try to test him. Thank goodness my DD was here to help. She had to throw a blanket over him and hang on to him for dear life just so I could poke him!

Well, off to try to be productive!!!

What is up with your boy this past week. Is he testing you or what.. Or maybe he just thinks that you don't really need the sleep. All the fun happened again last night after i retired. WOW!! A 51, Really? I'm going to get ahead start for next time since i'll probably be sleeping when it happens again: PATTY, START WITH LC FOOD ONLY!! Champ is carb sensitive :lol: :lol: .. At least i get to be a part of it now. I sure hope you find some Patty time in between the productive part of your day..

Baptism by Fire last night! You did great! Wow, on the drop though, is Champ going for the diving title mor that Mannie is retiring (anti-jinx)? I may get to use those smilies again after all! :lol:

Not bad for the bounce either, I love seeing him come down at +2.

So if Champ is giving me a repeat of yesterday morning and afternoon today, does that mean he's going to give me a repeat of last night tonight? Lord, I hope not!!! I don't mind the low number, just didn't like the surprise. It would be nice to have a do-over, though, so I can experiment with foods to bring him up slowly and keep him surfing. Just wish my strips had arrived in the mail yesterday, but I knew they wouldn't. I bought another back-up meter last night because I just didn't want to have to ask for my meter back from my neighbor. I just won't open it until I absolutely have to just in case I end up not having to use it.

Woohoo 51!!!!! Love but also kinda hate those surprises. Zoe gets cranky about being tested when she is lower too.....almost like, I'm fine leave me ALONE!!! Nice job with him and I hope he clears this bounce quickly....looks like he has started... ;-)

Hopefully Champ will slow down a bit and learn to surf it. He may get a wee bit wet doing it though.

i completely missed the excitement with champ last night - glad you all came through it fine. he's keeping you on your toes - none of this sitting back and getting complacent!

Uh oh....a repeat of last night? I woulda been pooping a little i think if i were you.....not to scare you or anything, but i suppose there is a first time for everything and hopefully next time it happens you'll do even better! I woulda prob done the same thing and dished out the HC when i saw the 51, especially since it was a few hours from his +6. You did good tho!! YAY PATTY!

Used a Relion meter for tonight's PMPS and will be using it until my test strips for my Aviva come in the mail, hopefully by Tuesday. I had one strip left for the Aviva so I did a test with both meters for the PMPS, but from different blood drops. Relion was 323 and Aviva was 337. I call this an insignificant variance since I have gotten different numbers using the same meter from the same drop of blood.

Julie, no way can I be complacent with Champ now that I know he can dive like that!!

Tracy, I don't know how much excitement there was, It seems it was kinda over before it started!! :lol:

Gracie is moving slowly tonight so I don't think I'll be working the 50s; I just hope she hits green tonight.

Hi guys - sorry I missed all the fun here today. I had it set in my head I had visited you, and could revisit tonight. Hmmmm... seemed to have forgotten the first part! OMG on last night, and a double omg on the mean beast from outer space. It is good that you had help.

I loved Ann's comment: "Baptism by Fire last night!" lordie be, but I do remember thse dives. Mannie quickly became known as the fdmb olympic diving champion. He could drop 300 point some cycles, and be no worse for wear. I wonder if he has been giving Champ lessons.... :lol: :lol: I also had a laugh over Ann;s comments about using those smilies again. We/she had the best diving simlies...

Well I hope Champ behaves himself tonight. Looks like he means business though if that 104 is any indication. Good luck! and better get the gloves out. :shock: :cool: :razz:
