My bad, I overslept Alex' s shot by 1 hour and 20 minutes. I forgive myself though as it's the first decent night's sleep I've had in a week. I have to start by saying that Alex is not doing very well with the whole Jackson situation. He missed him terribly yesterday yet now that he's home, Alex is secluding himself except when it's time to eat. He is going under a table and staying there. Jaime told me it could be because of the way Jackson smells which is unfamiliar to him and Jackson has been staying to himself a lot(on the bed) because he is hurting(I just gave him bupe again). If Jackson goes into the room where the tree is and lies down there, Alex sits down near him but is being very reluctant to interact with him. He let Jackson eat out of his bowl (and Alex loves his food) and looked up at me when Jackson walked away as if to ask me if it was okay to go eat the rest. I understand that he's confused and I have been hugging and kissing him hoping to bring him into the loop but he's keeping his distance. Is this normal? I've never had this experience before except when Alex got sick and Jackson, while he stayed to the side, never felt threatened...he just tried to help. Then he got pissed when Alex got really nasty to him.

I just don't want Alex to get really depressed and stop eating. Maybe I'm putting the cart in front of the horse and when Jackson feels better Alex will start acting more normal? I'm really not finding something else to worry about...I love them both and this is difficult to balance because for a few days at least, Jackson needs a lot of care(warm compresses start today also)..you guys saw his incision.

Anyhow, all p's still in order but Alex is not wearing his purry pants today. Hopefully he'll put them back on soon.

Have a great Sunday everyone

..and THANKS AGAIN!!! SO MUCH!!!

xo,
C

ETA: I just gave Alex some secret Bumble Bee. I hope that helps

Re: 5/29 Alex AMPS 340

give it time. Jackson only just got home and not only does he smell funny, he looks funny too. he is also hurting and alex senses all of this. You may want to take a cloth and wash jackson down to help remove the vet smell and bring one of the senses back to normal,

as jackson heals and feels better, things will return to normal, just need to give it time.
