Thanks to everyone for paying Mannie a visit yesterday. I was plagued with internet problems from early on in the day, and am sorry that I could not adequately visit most of you. Managed a few, but nearly what I had hoped for. I hope you all had a great day, and that your furkids did too. :-D :cool: :razz: This morning we are online for now, will be down in a few when they come to fix things here.....

I had doubts about yesterday, when the day started. Mannie was pink, seemed to want to stay there: +2 was up. We made yellow, with another small trend up. I just couldn't decided what he was doing... Seems he wanted to save it all for the PM cycle. :shock: :cool: :cool: By then DGS was home with his mom and dad, and Mannie, in his opinion, had me all to himself. :-D So - off the the green lagoon we went. I ended up with karo in the mix by +3, only because the drop was quick, and I hoped to slow it down: 50's are low enough. It seems to have been a good decision - he settled into the 80's just fine. Interesting, and busy night. You did well Mannie - your bean is proud of you. cat_pet_icon This morning's 126 is great - I did feed him a 10 % at amps, to bump him up a little for onset, hopefully that too will be a good decision.

All is well in MannieLand. Progress continues with my DGS. It was feeding time, DGS that is, and not Mannie. :cool: Bottle in one hand, baby in the other, we head into the LR where DGS partakes in his version of chow-down, only to find Mannie sitting in his spot. Hmmmmmm..... and what to think..... So: we sat next to the Nanner King, who took one look at us, did not flinch, or flee the scene. He curled up into a ball, and went back to sleep, with one eye on "that tiny human". :cool: :cool: awesome! some day: best buds..... we have normalcy this morning - all is well with the boy, internet is in and out. Breffis consumed with gusto, auto feeder looked at, but ignored (at least today he did not bury it). And YES!!!!! It is official: nanners are back to being #1 on Mannie's top 10 list, the great outdoors being bumped to last after an overnight mayhem of winds and rains. :lol: :lol: I left him cuddling the lot, settling in for a nights sleep-a-thon. one well deserved after all those pokies.

Have a great day everyone! I hope to get the modem here fixed so that this stoopid internet works. It was up long enough for me to prep Mannie's condo. PHEW! come on cable dude - hurry! This bean is internet deprived! :roll:

My friends!!! Today we are headed to Moonie's for a beach party!!! SWEET! dancing and signing and fishing and cooking, Bus is all set - rides ready for all. We also have a big party weekend at Attie's - a holiday one. There are so many things to do there. We will be very busy!!! oh!! construction continues at Willie's - we are working on the final phases of the fire pit in his new back yard... SWEET! Being party kitties we are ready for ALL parties - anybody else got one??? ooooooo - I LUBS holidays! See you ! ~~ Mannie

From reading your condos it looks like you get about 4-5 hours of sleep at night girl.

Its so nice to see such a wonderful run of numbers for the Nanner King.

So, can I borrow Mannie to help teach my two girls how to relax a bit.

Hope you get your internet fixed. Its amazing how much we use it...its like its part of our bodies.

Good morning Michelle and Mannie and what a nice report - things are back to normal in Mannieland.
What I want to know is how you get Mannie to tolerate so much poking!?! Jesse so hates his ears to even be touched.

We had wild weather down in OR too. It's official - the weeds have won the war!

Hi Tena - yes. I admit it... about 5-6 hours a night. last night was much less, thanks Mannie! :roll: It's OK - it's kinda normal for me, been that way for years: 3 kids with sports that occupied the early and very late hours.... :razz: Mannie says he will come and talk to Curry and Sid about how to be one laid back chick. That laid back thing he is very good at. Never met a cat that can be so mellow on so many things. Watch out though when his feathers are ruffled. :lol: :lol: And yes on the numbers: a few bumps, but wow - I keep hoping they will continue....

Hi Carolyn - YAY!: normalcy in MannieLand - phew! I dunno on the poking. he truly is fairly mellow, about most things. He comes when we need to test, sits on my lap, never fusses, purrs most of the time. weird, huh. I can always tell when he's had enough: huge audible sighs, but he still doesn't put up a fuss. I got lucky..... and I could not agree more!: my poor yard!! and the lawn - oh wait! what lawn - my moss patch has also won the war. :roll: :roll: and thanks - me too on the modem issue - had it for nearly 10 years - we may just need a new one.

Mannie is looking great again today, over the food spike and nearly back to the lagoon. Hmmmm, I wonder if that's why Tess is up. Did They build themselves a new teeter totter too? :roll:

Great run of numbers for Mannie today. I don't really know how you can function with so little sleep. You must be able to fall asleep pretty fast after all of Mannie's testing. My problem is that I can't go back to sleep if I have to wake up every few hours. I know Simon probably gets some lower numbers in the middle of the night, but more testing = no sleep for me. I'm glad Simon takes to the automatic feeder so well so i can make sure he gets some mini meals while I sleep. If you want, I can send Simon over to show Mannie how wonderful the automatic feeder is! Glad to hear that the nanners are #1 again! have a great day!

Wow...what a night and what a great decision to put the karo in early...awesome surf. I was thinking you had to be exhausted after having DGS all day and then Mannie doing that at night.

I love the story about Mannie being in the baby's spot!! So he is adjusting or he's making a statement. I'm sure it helps you knowing Mannie is dealing with it all.

Hope you have a lovely day today and find time for a hike and a nap.

Mannie...Tobey and I are all packed up and ready to head to Moonie's beach!!! We need some chillaxin' and to rest some...that vetty visit wore me out!! We'll bring some chilled devilled quail egg

HI Michelle, I hope that the cable guy comes soon. These things always happen on holiday weekends! Can you go to Radio Shack and get a new modem and install it yourself?
Lovely story about Mannie sleeping in Nicholas's feeding spot! That tells you how much he has adjusted to the little bean. Hope your weather improves. We had so much rain yesterday . . . and more thunder showers today (but not as bad).

Hey Mannie, Beach party at Moonie's today and a party at Attie's tomorrow?. How cool. Next week we can have a party at Camp Stu. I will be "in residence" from Tuesday to Friday or Saturday. The beans and their friends are doing a long paddle on Thursday, so that might be a good day to sit around on the porch, swim off the dock, fish, and, of course, grill. Waddya think?

Sorry to hear about the modem problems.... computers are totally a "can't live with them, can't live without them" piece of necessary equipment!!! And don't worry, condo visiting isn't necessary. I think most of us just find it as necessary as air to read about Mannie's antics on a daily basis!! :-D

stoopid modem. ok this is completely OT, but i had to share.... seems the modem is just fine. the cable to the house however?: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile . so: the cable junction box out on the street on the pole is too small for the number of houses it is supposed to supply. We were sharing a line with a neighbor :shock: so.... that line ran to a 4 way splitter. One of the lines from that ran to a two way splitter. one of those lines ran to another two way splitter, which ran to another one.... :o :o at the end of one of those was my modem. way too many spits - each one weakens the signal. the cable guy says: "you have virtually no signal. and you were online before?" well duh cable guy..... we now have a new modem - YAY, as ours was really ancient - they no longer make that model :lol: :roll: :roll: , and a new designated line, and a splitter out on the pole that serves one line per household. what a concept. :shock: :cool: :razz: :razz: shesshhhhh.....

Hi Ann, and Miss Maggie - and yes on the nanners!! He spent the afternoon and the night there yesterday. More often than not he sleeps on top of them. And ever so agreed on Mannie and DGS - looking good there.

Hi Georgia - :lol: :lol: on the sleep thing.... yeah - some days are better than others, but I am used to getting by with 6 at night - that is the norm. I too don;t do well if I have to wake up mid sleep cycle - toast the next day. last night I did have to get up for one of them - just wrecks havoc. I can usually fall asleep pretty quick, but still I don;t do well when the sleep i do get is interrupted. It is nice Simon will use the feeder - I wish Mannie would. That has got to help for those nighttime feeds. PLEASE SEND SIMON TO TALK TO MANNIE: auto feeders are good, and out friend. Zoe should come too. She loves hers.

Hi Marje - finally, for sure, back on line... I was so grateful just to be able to get Mannie's morning post in. phew! last night worked well with the karo. I just felt that he was low enough, knew the HC wasn't getting it done, and he would go lower so... karo it was. it set up a nice rest of the cycle surf - so that I was pleased with. i could have done without that 65 @ +6.5, as it meant I did have to get up around +8 to make sure he was still surfin'. **sigh** -- and yes on him being in the baby's spot. He didn't move. :razz: :cool: Awesome! so we just sat next to him. wow, amazing! -- and yes - took a small hike to the shore, once the cable guy had done his thing... I so needed a mental break. sunny gorgeous day there! :-D :-D

Hi Ella - survived the cable guy - saga told above. :shock: :-D I thought about getting our own, but decided not to, as what we have is cable company provided, their equipment, so... waited for them. and as it turns out it really wasn't the modem, granted what we had as old... but still working. -- and yes - sunny skies today, a few cloud, but a nice day. we are supposed to have more of the same for a couple of days. sure hope so, as I hope to go hiking - maybe... depends on the traffic flow/predictions over the passes: can't miss Mannie's shot window. -- yep on dgs - I am very happy about that: acceptance. :-D

Sheesh, I got dizzy reading all the ways your signal was split. At least you don't have a darn phone line to the 'puter.
We were told (local paper) that we were getting broadband around April . I have talked to the guy who promised it.
Emailed him 3 weeks ago....no answer. I'm thinking, we aint agonna be getting highspeed any time soon. *sigh*

Hi barb! I know on the splitter(s). un-freaking-real! no wonder we were having all these issues. There was very little left by the time it reached us. I keep hoping for you - that you will get Broadband. omg on the guy that promised april. I see a massive email campaign in your future.... i still remember the days of dial up. we'd go to download something and go have lunch while we waited. :lol: :lol:

Michelle, I think I found the real problem with your computer :lol: I sure am glad you're up and running again.. You know how we can't do with out proper Mannie antics reporting! I'm also happy to hear that all is well with DGS and Mannie getting along.
