+6.5 255

AMPS 432 - Hello RBC! Ouch. We were expecting that ugly number this morning, although a small part of me was really hoping it would only be in the pinks! Oh well, at least I know why he's red this morning. I was very excited to see the blue last night. He ate very well this morning and has been very active. He had a few wrestling matches with Morgan last night. I think Morgan is happy to have his playmate back. Poor cat, he's been forced to play with the dogs! Olivia definitely felt left out last night! She really thought she should be part of the action.

Still no liquipoo - been a little over a week now. We go Tuesday morning for blood work. If everything looks good, we'll go to EOD with the pred. If it looks like he's not tolerating the Leukeran we may have to back down on that instead. Hoping that's not the case, though. His internist will be so happy to hear that he's almost back to normal. I think if we can get his blood sugar under control we'll have our boy back at 100%!

My alarm went off at 1am so I could test him at +6.5. I hit the snooze button and drifted right back to sleep. Logan had been upstairs but came down when he heard the alarm. He got right in my face and screamed at me to wake me up.

Re: 5/28 Logan AMPS 432

Well I am glad HE is on the job at least.... The screaming in your face did the trick i assume? Good boy Logan...YOU know the drill! That blue is so beautiful to see!!! I am so happy for you both. This Red Ugly will have to depart! (can't believe we are wishing for a pink, but that's the way it goes with this dance, eh? Pink would have been a sufficient bounce...but Logan will be back down soon)
He sounds very happy with the playing and the supervising the household.....so happy for youz. Yay Logan!!!!
(oh...maybe the full moon made him go that high...yeah, that's the ticket...let's blame it on the fll_moon )

Yes, that did it for me! At least he didn't start pulling my hair or slapping me like he does in the mornings! It's so nice to see him feeling well and playing again. I still worry constantly that the IBD is going to flare up or that something else is going to pop up. Thanks for stopping by, as usual, Pat!

I think with leukeran the effects are most likely at the start, esp. the bone marrow suppression issue. Not to say you're definitely in the clear, but if Logan couldn't tolerate the leukeran, you likely would have known by now. Of course you need to keep checking periodically though. Later the concern becomes more about infection and things like pneumonia due to the immune suppression effects. Quincy actually heads to the vet on Tues for his 3-month check up.

Re: 5/28 Logan AMPS 432, +7 214, PMPS 206

Looks like he made a quick exit of RBC! I wasn't expecting a pre-shot that low but I like it! We'll get a +2 to make sure he's not dropping too much. I have a feeling he'll be on his way back up but maybe he'll surprise me.

Re: 5/28 Logan PMPS 206, +2 256, +4 162

162?! Looks like we'll be testing again in a couple of hours! We'll get a +6 next and go from there.

Ouch, what a bounce. Oh well...so glad I got the +4...makes the bounce a little easier to swallow. On the plus side, no more tests tonight.
