I slept on couch pillows on the floor last nite, and woke to find Checks sitting on a chair across from me, staring at me, like he was trying to figure it out.

So did that work with the chatter thing in the middle of the night! :-D That gives me an idea with Mags, or was it because of the heat? Regardless, Checkers wasn' sure what to make of his Bean with the stare! :lol: I like Checkers's nice blue at the +3. I wonder if he might be ready for some action. Have a nice day, Barb.

I slept out here in fam room last night with Moonie, but when I stirred she chattered to me & said let's go to bed! I DID!
Looks like Checks is doing so well today!!Coming down very nicely :-D :-D

Hehe Ann & Maggie....I was experimenting with comfort. I had a featherbed (polyester) thrown over the cushions on floor, and slept the whole night through. First time in ages. Unfortunealy, my mattress is less than a year old, so there won't be a new firmer one, any time soon. :YMSIGH:

Normally in the morning, Checkers is in the kitchen, yelling whatever comes into his head. He has quite a repertoire of sounds.
He just didn't know what to do, when he found me on the floor in the living room :lol:

Ann &Tess, that pic is so cute. Check would love a drawer like that. :lol:

Roni, they want us where they want us! :-D

Tess always comes in and yells at me when I'm in the office! I should be out in the LR so she can sit by me!!! cat(2)_steam

Barb, I got my sister a memory foam bed "topper" at Costco. She says she has never slept so well! Not nearly as expensive as the whole mattress.

I have a friend with back issues that sleeps on the floor - comfort for him. It's a set up similar to what you describe. whatever works! So nice that you slept the night through. YAY! I do love Checkers reaction. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Thanks Ann. I had a thick memory foam topper, and it was too soft. Even the featherbed makes it too soft.
That's the problem with my new mattress. I didn't realize it had so much foam in it, and it starts off feeling delicious, but by morning, it offers no support, in the lumbar region.
I even tried putting plywood under it, but that doesn't do the trick. It would take too long to tell all the things I've done for comfort, sleeping, buuuut.........
this is supposed to be about the kitty, huh? :roll:

My goodness, a green preshot for Checkers is unusual. His pm shot wasn't fat, but not deliberately. I had fiddled with it so long, that when I expelled too big a drop, , I just didn't feel like starting over. Better too little, than too much.

Gulp! Shoulda gotten a +11. I just made an assumption, that he was rising. I got complacent, ''cause he never has low preshots.
