Buster has never had this low of a ps!!! He had a beautiful blue day the other day, then an am of 245 the next day. Now this!

Good news, he is eating a little bit more than he has been, but he is not ravenous like he used to be. He has been eating around 3/4 can per day for the last few days, instead of the usual 2 cans a day. Maybe he is not as hungry with the lower numbers?

We will be leaving in an hour for him to see the dental specialist. Gonna figure out what these masses are and see about removing them and the broken molar.

I am so happy about his new lower numbers, but I am also very nervous about it.

Yeay Buster!

Re: 5/28 Buster- AM 68 ~ NO SHOOT ~

Not to burst your bubble, but is he's eating less, there's less food to offset the action of the insulin. It may be what's dropping his numbers.

Re: 5/28 Buster- AM 68 ~ +2/85

Just back from the specialist. Great news and expensive news:

Great news- vet is almost certain it is not cancerous :-D

It seems that he is missing a bottom molar on one side, and the molar on the other side is broken off... so, his top molars dig into his gums each time he bites down causing irritation and infection ( = masses ). There is infection, so I got some clavamox for him.

Expensive news- on top of the mass removal and extracting the broken molar, we are also looking at removing the two top molars that are causing all the problems. He will also check to see if the roots from the missing molar need extracting, and said that there is one other tooth that is questionable for an extraction. Yikes

He is relaxing in the sun outside right now, so I have not gotten a post-vet bg on him. I'll poke him when he comes in for a snack in a lil bit.

VERY relieved! I can't wait to get some ab into him so that he will start feeling a little better. Poor kitty must be in pain. I'm hoping that is the reason he is not eating as much lately, instead of some complication like p-titus.

Good news and expensive news is better than no news and bad news.
Glad Buster is home relaxing soaking in some sun :-D
