Thursday was a day of barely eating even though I was able to get a Pepcid in....

I got up to check on him at +7.5 in the pm cycle and his BG was 246. I tried to get him to eat and he displayed all the signs of nausea. He sniffs with interest and then licks lips and backs away like the dish might bite him. He ate a little chicken breast, drank a little water and then he was done... I'm so worried:nailbiting:

I've written to the vet asking for Ondansetron and am guessing that we'll go visit the vet later today.
I know we can't get through the long holiday weekend without help.

Odansatron sure helps my Polly when she feels nauseous. Lots of hoping your vet cooperates and Radar gets back his appy.

The vet told me to give a B12 shot this morning before I left for work and only a few hours later at noon he was eating a bit better. :cat: His BG was 135 at +4.5 which is decent with all the not eating drama at our house.

We just got home from the vet where Radar was given subQ fluids and I got an Rx for the ondansetron. :woot: Now I just need to find a reasonable price. Anybody have suggestions for the best pharmacy to get it??? Or do I need to start calling around my area?

Also when I let him out of the carrier his fur was wet and there was a little wet spot in the carrier... Does the fluid sometimes leak out of the cat or ??? I've only gotten subQ fluids for him once before so I'm not sure what's going on???

You can get ondansetron from any human pharmacy. I guess I'd just call around. I'm thinking there is a website that will find the cheapest drugs in your area, but I don't know what it is.

Yes, fluids can leak back out. It's probably not a concern, so I don't think I'd worry too much about it.

Glad to hear that he was eating and feeling a little better this afternoon!
