Good morning everyone,

So Ella's shed seems to be levelling out and tomorrow morning will be our dosecrease. I've never dosecreased by a fat or a skinny and am wondering if it is recommended when a cat is flat in the higher colours. I really want to be consistent in my dosing this week and my goal is to get her into the blues while I am away at work.

Sending healing and eating vines to all the kitties that need them:)

Ella continues to confuse me. No yellows last night and an 80 point drop in two hours. She growled at me when I gave her shot the shot this morning. Perhaps I injected in a muscle and the insulin is working faster?

I wonder if the drop will mean some action today. I know Ella is unpredictable though! Good luck with what you decide on her dose, as I know it hasn't been easy,

Ella came down nice and easy all day. I wasn't expecting the 202 at pmps. Perhaps the fresh air helped to lower her bg:)
I'll see where this dose take her by the morning. If she's in the blues all night I may just keep her at 1u.

oh boy..we're in trouble +1=124!!! She practically skipped over the blues! What is going on with this cat?
She had a decent poo today..is being bunged up the reason for high bg's?

Ella, my plan was to keep you safe in the blues. Why are you doing this to me on a Sunday? I can't come home to check on her all week ohmygod_smile

Good luck on what you decide to do about the dose. Hope Ella will stay blue for you when you are at work. Ella is so unpredictable, I know it must be so challenging for you. I wish I had advice, but it seems like our kitties just do whatever they want to.

Congrats on your trophy, and loved the video yesterday.

do you think it's wise I slow her down with some mc since we are so early in the cycle? maybe i'll wait until +2 to see what's going on.

Either LC or MC is fine.

Just as an FYI, you shot a dropping number. If you look at the cycle, Ella's numbers have been steadily coming down. Please continue to monitor carefully so you don't get caught by surprise.

Oh I'll be monitoring Sienne:) She just ate her 2nd dinner and I'll be testing again soon.

That was a pretty fast drop in an hour. I'd opt for the MC to get her to slow the drop.

Just tested half an hour from the last test and she's 104. I'm going to test her again in 20.

Shooting a dropping number is not bad as long as you stay on top of it. It's a great time to take advantage of overlap but you can't let it get away from you. Remember...she's still got to onset from the shot you gave tonight.

FWIW, Ella often reminds me of Gracie on lantus.....and thus Ella is the Otha Lil Stinka. Bounce clearing cycles like this one can have her dropping fast into PMPS and she could be in the 40s before you know it. So I might suggest you do a +2.5 just to see if she is going to speed up on you as she onsets.

I will get a +2.5. What bounce do you think she's clearing now? I didn't think she bounced the last couple of cycles.

Please remember to update your subject line with your recent numbers! It's very helpful when we're checking the board and want to make sure you and you're kitty are OK.

Granted that I don't have those great SS deciphering eyes and I had been thinking she might just be up there due to the dose change but it's possible that she might be bouncing from the blues the other day...this mornings cycle would have been the sixth one. I only say that because she has just been dropping all day with no nadir and then she has started zooming.

Again, Jill, Libby, or Sienne might see something different......they have a knack for reading SSs :-D

Will be taking a +3.

edited to add: hmm interesting thought on the bounce from the blues. i didn't think of that because ella usually appears to clear her bounces within 2 cycles.

+4=128 She may be on the rise from a bounce or up from the mc 12%. I will set my alarm to take a few tests just to make sure she's rising and or stabalizing.

I want to be proactive now just in case many of the helpers will be sleeping in on the 3 day weekend:) If she presents me with a non bounce number (green, blue or even low yellows) would it be safest to shoot a BCS and if so what would that be? .5u?
Unfortunately, I can't come home and check on her this week so I want to be safe:)

I think you have a pretty good feel for her, Tamara.....better than we do and you know your schedule. I'd like to see you make the decision tomorrow depending on what she is doing and how comfortable you are leaving her. :-D

ella just woke us up by trying to puke up a hairball. she's been strggling with those lately and i continue to wonder if they are responsible for her higher numbers. she's been surfing blues all night which is yet another surprise.
