The antibiotic could be making his numbers higher, but he probably could use more insulin. Is he still on the AB? I hope he's doing better. Sending prayers.

Thanks, Carla! No, he only received one shot of the AP at the vet’s —he’s also taking the laxative so that may affect the numbers too. At any rate, I gave him slightly over 1U rather than a whole .25 increase because he’s been having a tendency to decrease pretty quickly.
