Mornin All,

We aren't in red numbers this morning!!! WOOHOO

Leo had a good sleep, we went to bed at midnight and when i woke up he was snuggled inside the blankets with me and no food was eaten last night, so i'm assuming he slept all night which is a good thing seeing as how he didn't have a nap all afternoon yesterday, he was busy busy busy. I took a video of him hunting mice last night....so cute, unsuccessful but very cute. I'll have to look at setting it up on youtube for everyone to see.

Have a good day everyone.

Re: 5/26 Leo AMPS 335

Yay no reds for Leo!! Bummer on the unproductive mouse hunt. Good thing because those mice wouldn't stand a chance with Leo on it. Hope you have a great day Tracy!!

Re: 5/26 Leo AMPS 335

Good morning and glad Leo stayed out of the reds. I can't wait to see the video of the mouse catcher! Have a nice day.

Re: 5/26 Leo AMPS 335, +5 205

Well i slept in :o and my kitty woke me up, he was hungry....i'm a bad mom

I've gotta say i'm not too impressed with the 205, i thought Leo would go a bit lower. Oh well its better than the numbers he's been giving me the last few days. Tonight will be the 6th cycle he's been on this dose and if i don't see any better numbers by tomorrow i will increase again.

I will look into how to upload a vid on youtube when i get some free time.

Re: 5/26 Leo AMPS 335, +5 205

Hi guys .. yay on not starting out red! This yellow isn't to bad at +5 either, very close to blue .. maybe he was there for a bit, but you just missed it .. Good luck with the mouse hunting leo! Have a great day guys!

Re: 5/26 Leo AMPS 335, +5 205

the very best part is that you didn't get out of bed in your bare feet and step on a mouse head.

Life is SWELL!

Re: 5/26 Leo AMPS 335, +5 205

Ewwww i would probably puke then scream my head off :o   . No worries tho, Leo eats the whole mouse and only leaves the colon? (poop bag?)

Please tell me that didn't happen to you Julie.

Re: 5/26 Leo AMPS 335, +5 205

I am SO GLAD I'm not eating lunch right now!!!  If I can help it, Champ will never know the thrill of catching his dinner. I would never be able to kiss him on the mouth again without blech!!

Looks like Leo reaaalllyy wanted blue today! Maybe he already saw it or maybe it's 30 minutes after the 205...I remember when Champ had his first low yellow. I checked again the next hour to see if it was in the 100's so I could finally have blue on his SS

Have a great day Tracy. Sounds like you and Leo are having some great quality time together!!! :-D

Re: 5/26 Leo AMPS 335, +5 205, +6 184, +9 112!!!

WOOT WOOT!

We are in blue and low blue to boot! :-D I have to say i was surprised to see him continue to go lower after his nadir which is usually +5 or so.

I'll bet Champers would love to catch a mouse, they are pretty yum according to Leo. He's been on the hunt all afternoon again (we came out to my parents place for the afternoon), but was unsuccessful, his brother Toban got a mouse tho....poor Leo had to sit on the sidelines and watch him eat it.

Re: 5/26 Leo AMPS 335, +5 205, +6 184, +9 112!!!

Look at that low bluuuuuue! Way to go, Leo! :-) Looking good!

Back when I lived in the country with my family, Gabby used to catch mice and leave them in my Mom's bed! She'd wake up in the morning to a purring kitty on her chest and a dead mouse on her pillow!

Re: 5/26 Leo AMPS 335, +5 205, +6 184, +9 112, +10 187!!!

Julia, OMG that is disgusting. Was your mom impressed with the mouse hunting skills Gabby had? It's so cute when they bring in mice as gifts to the caregivers. My parents used to leave a kitty window open for Leo so he could come and go as he pleased, until one night my dad was watching tv and Leo jumped in the window with a live mouse and promptly deposited it in front of my dad. Apparently my dad isn't a big fan of mice and had a freak out which my mom got to witness  After that the kitty window was permenantly shut! Thank god i live in the city in an apartment, otherwise i'm sure i'd be presented with great gifts like that.

Thanks Barb and Julia, i was pretty happy myself when i saw that nice blue number. Leo was hungry so i fed him about a half hour before his +10 so i'm sure the 187 was a bit of a food spike.

We shall see what the PMBG brings! Fingers crossed!

Re: 5/26 Leo AMPS 335, PMPS 202

What a beautiful day for Leo and great shooting!!! Come on back down Leo!!!!

I would never be able to kiss him on the mouth again without blech!!

    Patty cracks me up!!!! She has a point, though!!! My cats are too prissy to catch anything...they think they can and would like to but I bet if they actually ever came face to face with a rodent when they weren't separated by the patio screen, they would freak out.

Re: 5/26 Leo AMPS 335, PMPS 202

Nice report for Leo today. I hope you are able to post the mouse hunt! Our GA Alice was a good Brooklyn mouser, and she ate the whole thing, even the "green organ". Stu (GA) was a chaser, not a hunter. Not sure yet what Rusty is. He has the patience of a hunter, though.

Have a good evening. I enjoyed your story about working in blackfly country!!

Mouse hunting Condo today   .. Oh the stories we have to tell and everyone as funny as the one before. I'm glad to see that pretty low pm number, looks like you could be in store for an interesting evening.. I'm thinking Leo should wear some blue again this evening.. He looked very handsome in blue earlier today.. :-D.
I hope you have good evening Tracy

Well we're back up to STINKUS PINKUS. I really didn't know what to expect tonight, but it looks like he's bouncing. I made sure to feed him only half a can of 10% for supper (instead of the usual full 3 oz) and fed him 3% after he finished that off. I really wanted to see what kind of effect the 10% had on his numbers. I'd like to try and wean him off the elegant medley's i feed him for breffis and supper. I'll test at 4 and 6 and see what happens.

Leo just had his after supper nap (me too) and had a bite to eat and he's gone back outside to his usual mousing spot. My kitty has the most amazing patience, he can sit there for hours and hours at a time, listening to those mice run around all the while tail swishing.

And i'm sure your cats Marje aren't prissy, you should let them try mousing! And Leo has the most beautiful mouse breath Patty!

Thanks everyone for stopping by and i hope you all had a wonderful day and sorry if i didn't get around to visiting condo's today, but we're visiting my parents place and the internet speed is absolutely dreadful out here!

Re: 5/26 Leo AMPS 335, PMPS 202, +2 310

looks like you had a really exciting day today, with such a smattering of colors!

ummm, mice? mice colons? dead mice on your pillow?? half alive mice presented in your window sill?! so glad i live in the city. french face has an interest in birds, planes, and bugs. he's an excellent bug catcher, full service clean up. flies and spiders beware!

Re: 5/26 Leo AMPS 335, PMPS 202, +2 310, +4 214

Tracy, Gabby was an expert mouser! She was always an indoor cat and used to hunt around our house at night. I don't think a mouse entered that didn't end up with her catching it. I used to live in a big old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere (right on the Canadian border ;-)), so mice were just a fact of life until Gabby arrived on the scene. Once I finished college and Gabby could come live with my in my own house in a more urban area, she only caught one wild mouse. But I guarantee that was the only mouse that ever even came close to getting in the house. I still don't know how she even got it...it was in the wall and she was so patient she waited until it came too close to a crack in the wall and BAM! Better than an exterminator.

Bandit has never lived in the country, so he hasn't had much mousing experience. Last summer when I was taking him for a walk in the park behind my house (he's indoor but he's leash trained outside), he caught a huge rat! Luckily he dropped it when I told him to, but when we went back in I made sure I told him what a good hunter he was and gave him treats. :-)

Don't feel too bad about the pink, Leo had a lower number that we haven't seen in a bit! I'm sure he'll be back down tomorrow.

Awww Gabby sounded adorable, and she sounded like she was an expert mouser, i'm sure you miss her everyday.

Bandit caught a rat? Oh my goodness, they can be huge can't they? I've only ever seen one and it was disgusting. And Bandit caught it while he was on a leash?

Leo is coming down again, just like this morning. I'm going to set an alarm for either +8 or +9 just to see what's going on.

Yup, caught it while we were walking near the outside wall of a neighbor's apt. building. His leash is pretty long though (15 ft I think?). It's really less me walking him than him walking wherever he wants and me following him around. I bring a book and a blanket for when he wants to flop down in the grass. A while ago I started giving him treats whenever I said "Bandit! Time to go home?" and took him back to the house, so if I say that he wants to run back to my house.

Gabby had a mind of her own and wasn't trainable that way, but she liked to be picked up and carried so no tricks were necessary to get her home. <3
