We shot down last night's big pink toad again! I still can't believe it's taken me almost a year to figure this out...I was concentrating so hard on the numbers themselves that I sort of ignored the BIG picture's clues. I also figured out that even if I'd gotten up and testing just as much over the nightly cycle, I still would not have seen that bg plummet that he does sometimes. It happens simply because HE DIDN'T WAKE UP TO EAT! If I get up and test at night, it wakes him up, he eats because he's awake then food hands us a 'normal' cycle. ohmygod_smile ...duhhh......
We're now counting down the last days for Parvo incubation with any of our crew. So far - ANTIJINX - no one's showing any signs. If anyone's gonna get it, they should show symptoms by Monday. My knees are sore from kneeling and praying that we don't get it. I've bleached my truck and yes, it dried out the leather somewhat but I'm now starting to reoil it starting today. It didn't change the color of the leather nor the carpet....WHEW! It turned my furniture pads orange but those still work regardless of the color.....I use them over the steel floors to fill in the gaps where feets can get caught then cover them all with a big fitted sheet.
Please share an extra thought and/or prayer for my sweet Scruffy (CHF civie). He's not feeling well and is beginning to want to just lay in a cool place or in my lap and not move much. His heart sounds were worse Wednesday, his heart meds aren't helping as much as they have been. He's got fluid in his chest but is somewhat dehydrated elsewhere so can't give him his Lasix. He still has smiley eyes and I still get his quiet sweet purr......
Everyone else is doing wonderful! I don't mention those that aren't sick and feel well so today I salute our OTHER fuzzy feetz! Our healthy kitties - Spike, Pepper, Lily, Nuisance and Boots, our healthy droolers - Star, Chloe, Sassy, Sasha and even Schniggles!
BIG hugs for all that visit today! Extra thoughts and prayers for Kim(kse) and Sweet Gem's family.
