Good luck on the Flovent, i hope it helps so you can reduce the pred. It makes it so hard to get those BGs down. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Thanks, everyone. I will definitely keep a close eye on his numbers if I am able to get him off the pred.

And just so everyone is aware, I would take his BG every hour if he let me. But, it's gotten to the point where I wrap him up in a blanket to poke his ear but he whips he head back at me every time he anticipates the poke. So, needless to say, poking Jinx in the ear is not an easy endeavor.

What's strange is he's fine before and often jumps up on to the place we do it because he knows he's going to get a treat. And he's fine right when it's over. I just can't get him to chill out while I'm doing it.

Good luck on the flovent and reducing the prednisolone. Hope the ear poking gets better with Jinx.

Thanks, everyone! Jinx definitely rocked it today! Best cycle yet! Fingers and paws crossed. Plan on taking a +4 and +5 tonight, give or take.

Just in case he goes low, at what point should I give him a little carbs?

Check out the link to handling low numbers in my signature block. If he goes into green, give him two tsps of low carb and retest in 30 mins. Continue to do that unless (a) he stops and surfs or (b) he goes below 50. If he goes below 50, follow the instructions in the link and take a .25u reduction in the morning.

Not what I was hoping to see at PM +4.5. Will hope for a good AMPS.
