Oh, this girl loves to keep me guessing with her pre-fuds pokey tests! If she'd just start off green, we could skip that extra test. Silly girl!
She is such a snugglebug supreme these days. In the past, she would always do a brief snuggle when I was on the computer, and then settle in the bed nearby. She was always WITH me, but not always ON me. Now, ever since she started feeling good again, the second either DH or I sit down at the computer chair, she appears out of nowhere, plops on our laps, and would stay here for hours on end. Of course we can't help but indulge her....which also means household chores are falling behind. But, she is teaching us all about what is REALLY important....snuggles with the kitty!
Trix is feeling good today. She was very seriously hunting for stray kibbles left behind by the civvies earlier, and she was waiting outside the laundry room as I prepped one of her follow up breffis installations. Of course, though, she was somewhat disappointed when I presented her with Fancy Feast and not a bowl of kibble. Sorry, Trix...I wish I could  ......
There was a definite small Trixie poo in the box this morning, as well as a little spit up nearby. So, I guess she is still have some constipation issues. There was also evidence of a butt-scoot...I guess her glands are/were bothering her, too. Since it's a holiday weekend and she otherwise is feeling quite great, I'm going to continue monitoring, continue with miralax and hold off on calling the vetty just yet.
Last night's gelcap experience was something fresh and new...not in a good way, though! I'm still working on my technique, and in one of my attempts, she juggled it around in her mouth...she managed to pop the gelcap open and spit out half of it with her amlodipine! I was surprised to see that. From what I could tell, she did swallow the other half with the pepcid and the benazepril, and she did not seem to taste any of the pills....no lip smacking or drooling. Unfortunately I had to prep a second gelcap to get that amlodipine down. DH and I did thoroughly search the area for stray pills and the other half of the gelcap and neither of us found anything, so it must have gone down.
I was hoping to visit condos last night, but after a very long day at work, I just totally crashed after dinner. I foresee another long day today, as I have to teach AND run the store by myself; my one business partner has been very sick for over a week now (some wicked stomach bug), and my other business partner has a wedding. Hopefully I'll still be standing by the end of it. My reward is that I do have the next 2 days off....
Gotta feed the TrixieCat and get ready for work. Have a great day, LL...even when I'm not visiting, I'm thinking of everyone :YMHUG: !!
