Was really hopeing to see a lower # this am. Titus will be going to work with me once again so we can check in a few hours. Just gave him 1/3 of a 3 oz can lc.

Noxin threw me a blue number or two after his final dose, just before he started regularly giving me 50's and 60's.

Titus enjoyed(?) another morning at work with us today. We were very excited to see his number come down. Hopefully his pancreas kicks in and rocks this 'speriment.

Question- timed feeders - what kind do u use, where did you get it, what's the pros/cons of the one u use? We are looking for information to see if this would be a viable way of feeding Titus. Any thoughts /comments would be great. Thanks!

This is the 5-compartment feeder that some people here like. I had trouble with it. The motor died once. I returned it to Amazon. They sent me a new one. The motor died within a month on that one. I gave up.

I went back to using this 2-compartment feeder. It's much lower tech and it works just fine. If you want, you can probably put a small ice pack in the bottom but I've never done that.

I bought both from Amazon but I think Petsmart may carry them. CD uses the 5-compartment model. Big Mac hasn't figured out how to break into that one. Aside from the motor issue, the problem that I've noted people mention is that if the batteries die or it's misbehaving, the compartments may not turn completely making the food impossible to reach. The 2-compartment model is flimsier and a creative cat could probably figure out how to open and/or destroy it. Neither of my guys have been so inclined.

Thanks for all the info re: the feeders. Hopefully will find just the right one for Titus. Got a cat tree set up today. Hopeing to stimulate his senses into becoming more active! So far, so good. He has claimed his spot on the tree! I shall look forward to a good nights sleep tonight knowing that Titus is doing well & in good hands.

Good luck with the trial! FWIW, Kitty also gave me some blue at the start of his trial, but it all worked out. :mrgreen:

Kitty likes the two-compartment feeder. He doesn't enjoy the ice pack - he'll have his food heated, not chilled, thank you -- but in the summer, I like having the option.
