Good Morning, Everyone and Happy Full Flower fll_moon ! PARTY TONIGHT AT OLLIE'S IN FLORIDA--ALL KITTIES INVITED!
It's a good thing the Full Flower Moon party is in Florida, because it is cold and miserable here and what flowers there are are all closed up against the cold and the snow that is predicted. Rusty is busy getting the cooking stuff together to take down to Ollie's.
Rusty had a good night snuggling between his beans. It is still raining (38 degrees, so no snow yet)--a cold, cold rain. We had a good test, shot, breakfast (FFT&G and Wellness Turkey combo plate), the delicious lung treat, a schmooze, and Rusty is now resting up for the party on his little bed by the radiator.
My sister arrives by lunchtime. We won't be paddling today, but hopefully tomorrow will be better. If the rain stops we can go for a walk this afternoon and visit the artists' gallery in the village. My sister is an excellent artist and always enjoys seeing what's new there.
Thank you all for your anniversary wishes yesterday. Those 44 years have flown by. We enjoyed watching "Casablanca" for the umteenth time.
Sending healing vines to Simon and all kitties and beans who are under the weather,
Ella & Rusty
Yo Kitties! Full Flower Moon party at Ollie's house in Florida tonight. Elsa found Mannie's cookbook for the Full Moon parties, so the Kitchen Krew has selected some of the recipes and added a few new ones. Thank you Elsa!!! Here's the menu:
Appetizers: Orange blossom infused niptinis; Micro brews with violet petals; Ollie's crispy hibiscus with honey dipping sauce; Ollie's crispy spider treats in baby's breath; Chicken canapes with rose petal toppings.
Entrees: Neko's seared Ahi tuna with lavender pepper crust; Mannie's special poached PNW salmon accompanied by fresh Florida marigold roulade; Sauteed shrimps in Rhody- flower cups; Rosemary chicken kabobs; Squirrel stew with dandelion petals; Rusty's grilled turkey sausages with squash-flower salsa.
Salads: Butthead's and Donny's Moon bathed lettuce wraps with fresh field greens, dandelion petals, and grass clippings.
Desserts: Tess's Rose petal ice cream with hibiscus flower coulee; Key Lime pie with lime petal dust; Stu's World Famous Catmint Parfaits.
Tess will pick us up in the Kitty Bus. She says she's bringing lots of flowers so that we can make leis to wear at the party. Ollie says that we can go swimming with the dolphins, fish off the dock, and play beach volleyball on the beach and water polo in the pool. There is a rumor that Maui will sail down in her yacht and take us out on the water. The Blue Mannie Group will play for the dancin'. The Kitty Chorus will sing. It will be a great party.
Elsa believes that Chefs Mannie and Stu will be cookin' a Full Moon banquet for all of our GAs at the "Two Chefs' Kitchen" at the Bridge.
See you all later. Kitchen Krew, get ready for cookin'--lots to do (and anyone who wants to be on the Kitchen Krew is welcome to join)
