Yesterday was cool with only 1 point difference.

This morning Rex was 86. He was 86 the first morning of his OTJ trial. How funny is that?

I also noticed that he has had 3 86's and 3 71's in the morning, but no same numbers in the evening.

Have a great day! :bighug:

Congratulations on all your hard work! Go Rex!

Thank you all! I thought the party would be tomorrow after the full 14 days. What do I know?

I will stick around ... this helped me so much so I want to pay it forward.

I do need advice on food. I saw @Bobbie And Bubba gives YA so I'm thinking that could be my backup plan if I'm gone for a day or two.

Yes, Bubba gets at least 1 Tbsp of it a day at 2 AM because, I just don't want to handle raw food in the middle of the night, and I don't want to leave raw in the auto feeder for that long . I might have to resort to YA for more of his meals too if I go away in July. I am not very fond of going back to canned food. As you know, dry food isn't looked upon very well on the boards  but, it is the best dry in my opinion.

Glad you will stick around some Mandy! This is like a big family that is hard to leave.

I know, I know .. dry food is not a good thing. But I have been going bonkers the last few days, trying to figure out what I could do if I leave for a weekend or however long and I cannot count on my neighbor being there at the cats' breakfast time of 6 AM. She's not an early riser. Going more than 12 hours with no food isn't good. That's the only issue I have. She has been my lifesaver the past 2 years with giving Tanner his meds, which are more flexible with moving times around. Thank goodness for no insulin now!

I hope to see Gordy and Aurora join Rex at the falls soon! :)

I suppose I didn't really need to update, but Rex is 63 this evening.

What do people tend to do when their cats pass the OTJ trial in terms of testing or posting?

You can post whenever you want. As far as testing, most people test once a week for a while and then go to monthly. I never felt comfortable going to monthly and always tested at least once a week to catch anything earlier. Rex is still diabetic, so you still need to be careful about food and medicines with sugar in them.

I agree with Carla. Until just recently, I stopped testing dialing ( I admit it, I have a testing problem) Now it's more like every 4 days or so. I still haven't made it to weekly yet. I feel like Carla, I want to catch something as soon as it starts. Everyone's comfort level is different.
