Jake is doing ok this morning. I had to syringe feed him because he wasn't too interested in his Friskie's.
Otherwise doing fine. Scared me last night even though I know 53 isn't life or death low.
He was staggering a bit last night too and seemed confused (this was at the 112 reading). He staggered and then almost peed in the corner of my bedroom but I picked him up and put him in his box. He does this staggering sometimes and has acted confused about the litter box before too. We've been to the vet several times but as the vet tells me, "he is old." Yes, he is just an old guy and a bit rickety, but it is still hard to watch.

This is a very nice start for Jake and even better -- no bounce off of the greens. I would try to get an early test given where he's starting so you don't get surprised again!

I didn't realize that Jake was 19yo. What a good boy!

Oops I posted in the wrong condo. So this is to bump up the current one.

Wow, what a good kitty for being 19 years old. (((Jake)))

I wish I could test him. Unfortunately, I'm at work (which is an hour away from home).
I will have my daughter check on him mid day and if he is acting funny, Jake's pet sitter is a vet tech and told me she could leave work to check his level (but I only want to do this in an emergency type situation).

What an exciting evening you had yesterday! and a blue morning... very very nice.

19 is an old dude indeed.... but what a handsome one. cat_pet_icon
