Good morning LL!

Thanks everyone for dropping in on yesterday's condo. Since Tessie has been running in the 100s so much lately (at least during the day/evening), I have been wondering, just where is the "healing range" for our kitties? I thought I read 150 somewhere?

Sienne, I think you may be right that she could use a dose increase. We had been hoping to take a short vacation in a couple weeks, and so I didn't want to make any dose changes until we got back. However, after her pain episode on Sunday, I have cancelled the vacation. I just can't imagine her being in pain like that and no one there to give her pain medication. Also, we are getting ready to put our house on the market, and that is going to mean some stress for her. With strangers coming and going, and probably lots of rides in the car with her brother T.J. and me while the house is being shown. So, I'm trying to factor it all in and make a good decision.

Off to check in on other condos--I miss you guys, too! So much going on...

Re: 5/24 Tessie Lou - AMPS 291 What is healing level?

Anything that is below renal threshold (lower 200s) is good. We tend to regard normal BG numbers as healing range -- below 120 and even better if in the greens.

Thanks, Sienne, that's great to know. I love the thought that her pancreas may be healing some now.

Re: 5/24 Tessie Lou - AMPS 291 What is healing level?

I'm so glad you asked that question because every day I've wanted to know that answer. We're finally seeing intermittent blues with an occasional green when it used to just be all pinks and high yellows!!! I was wondering if Champ's pancreas was finally able to start healing. I'm glad Tessie Lou is finally able to start to heal, too!! :-D

Re: 5/24 Tessie Lou - AMPS 291 What is healing level?

Hi guys - sorry that you have to cancel your vacation, but I understand the reason. we have done the same too. Maybe you ca have one of those stay at home vacations, where you do just fun stuff, no work stuff. We have done those so many times, they are actually kinda nice.

I hope Tessie Lou is doing well today. Not too bad of an amps - nice a sunny and yellow. maybe blues later on Tessie Lou?

Your question caught my eye - I am glad that Sienne answered.

That was good question that you posted.

Hoping Tessie Lou was able to see some safe healing numbers today. If not today...tomorrow.

Re: 5/24 Tessie Lou - AMPS 291 What is healing level?

Hey Sandy!! I'm so sorry you had to cancel your vacation; I know Tessie Lou will be so happy to have her mamabean at home with her. We just finished our "staycation". We had a blast. We did not do ANY work around the house or property other than the usual cat chores and keeping the outside birds fed and watered. So I hope you will take the time to relax and be with your DH.

Come on down Tessie Lou!!! I also think of the "healing range" for the pancreas as being below 200 and as Sienne said, green numbers are even better (as long as they aren't too low).

Good evening beans,
Sienne, Tessie Lou read your post about greens being extra nice for healing, and she courteously provided me with an 88 at +6 today! Unfortunately, looks like a bounce at PMPS of 296. Oh well, at least she's still in the yellow range! I think it's time to do a curve since her numbers have been coming down without a dose change, so I plan to do that tomorrow. I can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring for my sweet little girl. :-D

Thanks guys, too, for the stay-cation idea. We will probably use the time to put finishing touches on our house to get it listed in June. But, we will definitely fit in some fun time, too. :-D
