Good Morning all!

I see some strange things happening with Stella girl, so I have to make a follow visit to the vet to check her Blood Pressure. I think it is going too low. Also, I cannot seem to get a grip on her BGs and the Blood Pressure meds are the only thing I can figure is throwing us off.

Stella went to +4/99 last PM, and I woke to a small amount of vomit and an AMPS of 299. In Stella's world that is a bounce. I really don't have the data to support a reduction or an increase. This last month I have been wiggling around trying to find what works for her. Thus, the BP meds must be what is throwing us off.

Mornin' Mary, Hope you get some answers at your vet visit. Glad you get to be home with Stella today :-D I have Monday off, so a three day weekend! Woohoo! Hope people do not go crazy with fireworks this weekend. None of my guys appreciate them!

Enjoy your day off! I hope you can figure out whether its the BP meds that are throwing Stella's numbers off, and adjust for it somehow.

Yahoo day off! I hope you sneak in some fun. I am crossing fingers and paws that your vet visit gives you some good answers. I hope there's nothing to "strange" going on and it's a simple med adjustment.
I'm pea green with envy at your temp. (we're at 35!) I so wish i was back in FL! Bare Feet rule!

Thanks for the well wishes for Stella today. We were squeezed in for an evening appointment, so I will have answers @ the PMPS time. Part of me just wants to take her off of the meds alltogether. Honestly, I don't see a difference, but then again...I can't see her Blood Pressure. :lol:

Yes, being in the 90s is nice when you have A/C... much better than 35!

Hi guys .. Well good luck at the vetty's appt tonight .. hope you get some answers .. 90 is what we had here in the beginning of the week .. now we are in the 30's :o have a great holiday weekend!

And 90 is much better than the lovely...NOT...weather here today in Ohio: currently about 47 degrees!!! It was 90 on Wednesday and it was so nice to be swimming in the pool (temperature was already up to 80!) and then today it's like a mild day in winter.... I hope you get things figured out with Stella and wish you well :-D

I hope everything goes well with Stella's vetty visit this evening. Hopefully it is just a bp med adjustment that is needed.
 
Hi everybody! Good evening! Thanks for reminding me how AMAZING it is to have this glorious HOT weather! :lol: I do love it! I don't feel any of the 'famous' humidity yet...and if it has been around I don't feel it yet...whew... ;-)

Stella's vet visit was informative. I am so glad I took her because I was wrong. She needs more of the blood pressure meds. Actually, the vet is calling in a prescription for something else to add to the Stella meds, and next time they will be mixed together in one prescription. Stella is still at 180! She was around 210 (blood pressure). So, she has improved but barely. The vet indicated it could be her kidneys. Pray its not. I honestly don't have the money to get her out of any medical pickles...especially at Stella's 'geriatric' age of 14. I have already drawn my line in the proverbial sand, and a medical complication simply cannot happen. So prayers for my furry one that she is able to overcome any impending issues with her precautionary meds.
