Good Morning, Everyone,
Looks like a bounce from yesterday's pretty good cycles, but this morning is only cycle 3 of the fattened dose, so Rusty can have some more time to settle in. Rusty had a good night snuggling between his beans (it got cold last night). He had finished all his nighttime food and was eager for breakfast and his lung treat. We had a good test and a good shot. Last night before he came upstairs to bed he was tearing around in the livingroom, batting his bell balls, and pouncing on his Gevalia coffee box (which has long been broken down and was essentially a piece of flat cardboard; this morning it was totally flattened out and I had to tape up one end to get it back to the way he likes to sit and lie in it!). This coffee box is Rusty's shot site, so it is important that it be "just right". It is smaller than a shoe box, but Rusty has broken it down over the last year or so and can fit himself into it. He also uses it as a play site for games with the bell balls and mice. We have lots of these Gevalia boxes (I am a box hoarder) and I think we have to start him working on a new one!
Our warm, muggy, thunderstorm weather has turned cool (44 degrees this morning) with a cold, steady rain falling. The temperature is supposed to keep dropping and we are expecting some snow tonight and tomorrow!! That's just great for the canoeing weekend we have planned. ohmygod_smile My sister is spending the weekend with us. On Monday our little "Wayfarers" group is having our annual Memorial Day paddle and picnic. Fortunately it is supposed to be nice weather by Monday, but still cool.
Wishing you all a good day and sending healing vines to Simon and all kitties and beans in need.

Hey Kities! Tomorrow is the Full Flower Moon and we've got to plan for the Full Moon Party. The heat is on in my house and the radiators are nice and warm. We can plan for the party and whip up some hot tuna toddies and cimmamum cookies. This will be the first party without Chef Mannie's menu selection. I've asked Elsa to bring some of his recipes along to help us plan the menu. But we need suggestions from all of you, too. The Kitchen Krew can cook just about anything, but we need to see the recipe. And we need to find a good venue for the party. I can have it either here, in my barn, or down at Camp Stu. But we're supposed to have snow tomorrow. Anyone want to volunteer a warmer place for the party. It is, after all, the Full FLOWER Moon!
See you all later,
Rusty
