Good morning, everyone,

Rusty has a little bounce going (not too surprising: he was all green yesterday, and he ate nighttime food close to AMPS, too). We had a good test, shot (with one of the old batches of MJs--the needle comes all the way down the cone), Wellness turkey breakfast. Now a nap in his basket, and we will take him outside for a spin through the garden before we leave on our paddle. Last night, at bedtime, Rusty had a great, 20-minute long, play with his chenille wand, his cube and his cardboard box, and various mice. He enjoys having company, I think. Gives him a chance to show off!

We had a nice little paddle yesterday afternoon with our friend. And today we'll have a more extended paddle: across Middle Saranac Lake to Weller Pond and Little Weller Pond. It's a great day for it. Some of our friends will be joining us.

I won't be back on LL until sometime tonight, so I want to wish everyone a good day and we send lots of healing vines to Moonie, to Roni's DA, to Zener (get your appetite back), to Rocket, and to all kitties not feeling well.

Oh, and today is our 43rd wedding anniversary!!! Time flies. We have a bottle of champagne to drink on Saturday, when my sister is here.

That is such a huge accomplishment. Sounds like yesterday was peaceful and today will be a lot of fun as well. Not a bad bounce for Rusty. He just wants you to go without worrying about him.

Enjoy your paddle today. It sounds really nice - perhaps some photos for all of us? :-D Mannie has just left to get Rusty - they have a busy day planned at the cheese factory, and he wants to be sure Rusty can come.

I love the comments about him showing off for company - what a fun cat. Rusty - you so totally rock. Nice numbers yesterday too, and a decent start today. Have a good one guys - it sounds really good.

Hi Everyone,
Thank you all for the anniversary wishes. We had a lovely day. The paddle was super windy, but everyone did just fine and our friend who was staying with us got to see what his new boat can do. He loved it! We got back in the mid afternoon, let Rusty out, and he almost caught a chipmunk!! Then he camped out by the place where the chipmunk ran to hide and didn't move. (But Chip=chip had a back door and I saw him half-way across the yard!). In any event, Rusty had fun and chased some bugs. All good exercise. We spent the rest of the afternoon helping our friend get his boats on his car and he decided that he would leave this afternoon instead of waiting for the Friday morning of a holiday weekend. So he planned to drive for about 8 hours and get somewhere south of Princeton, NJ.
So now we have a whole day between houseguests (my sister arrives on Saturday for our annual Memorial Day kick-off of the official paddling season.

Rusty's numbers are really good again today. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
