Yesterday http://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=71646 was get over a bounce and settle into a new dose day. I got up in the middle of the night +8 and got yellow, so am hopeful she might have touched the floor below that at her nadir. And today I was so pleased to see pink, as compared to red and black that have been our morning colours of late.

So far it looks like a slow morning, although there have been 3 yard patrols so far, including one before breakfast. There is sunshine outside so Neko is more interested in going out when she won' t get wet. CPC as usual and after the autofeeder +2 feeding my DH called me and told me that civie Theo was lying down in front of the feeder instead of Neko. I'm pretty sure she got the feeding and would chase him away if he even thought of going after her food. I think he wants a feeder now too. He doesn't have one because he doesn't get as many mini meals as her.

This morning I was chemo support group for my friends drooler. He is now down to his last four chemo treatments before we are done. He has lost some weight but not too thin and looking happy and bouncy. He wouldn't get into my friends car when I arrived at her place, he had to greet me first. It's nice to get such a friendly greeting.

My thought today with other animals with cancer, it's always hard at the oncologist seeing other animals that aren't doing as well or having a hard time with their treatments. Healing thoughts also with Moonie and cats like Zener who aren't eating what they should.

+5 222 +8.5 225

I think Neko has shifted her nadir to later in the day again. I bet there was some blue action somewhere in between.

Re: 5/24 Neko PMPS 473

PMPS 473 (last night was 474), talk about consistency! I'm pretty sure this is a bounce from wherever she went today. She also did a decent drop from +3 to +5 which could be part of it. Neko is feelimg pretty good at this dose. Lots of grooming and some pretty long yard patrols before dinner tonight. I'm sure the hummingbirds were getting the once over again.

@Roni - thanks for visiting, I'm so glad Moonie is feeling better today. A couple of months ago my Theo had a run in with one of the appliances in my kitchen when he was chasing his mousie. He was limping pretty badly for a few weeks from that. Maybe Moonie got a little too active?

Re: 5/24 Neko PMPS 473

I know alot of people talk about the importance of the 5 P's, but I love to hear about the grooming.... when you have a cat who's grooming and cleaning, I will bet you have a cat who's feeling not too bad at all.

It's good to see the 200's mid cycle; no wonder Neko was feeling good.

Re: 5/24 Neko PMPS 473

Chemo with animal is so debatable in Hongkong. Ive heard a lot stories of unhappy ending. My friends beagle just went through an operation to remove the spleen becaue of a large tumor, tip of the liver got to go too. The vet recommended chemo but my friend is still considering.
Hope your friends civvie get well soon! It hurts so much to see them suffer.

+3.5 423 flat red bounce tonight. Time for bed.

@Gayle - thanks for stopping by. It's times when you see the cat feeling incrementally better that you know it's all worth while.

@Helen - my friend's drooler has lymphoma, which if treated in time, has a 80% remission rate for dogs. He went into remission the 3rd week and has had no symptoms other than some soft poo at one drug (which has now been switched to an alternate) and losing some whiskers. He likes going to chemo, he really likes the techs and the treats. But, EDID, the dog after him today has to be sedated to get his meds. I've only seen a few cats there, mostly dogs, so maybe chemo is less common for cats here.
