Re: 5/24 Harley AMPS 311

i'll bet you're glad that yesterday was a little calmer after the night before! harley's left the drama behind today, we hope! although i'm thinking he went from something in the 300's to lo, didn't he. you must have to really watch him.

have a wonderful day, pattie!

Re: 5/24 Harley AMPS 311, 326 +9.5

Harley has been in the 300's all day. Hopefully it is still a response to the super low of the other day. I will give this dose (5u) 1 more day and if he stays the same, I will need to increase to 5.25u. With his IAA, I cannot have the antibodies build back up.

hi Pattie

I hope so too - on the patience.
I don't want to read a repeat of the other day, that was too nailbite_smile

just curious, any chance of a mid cycle check for tomorrow's AMPS cycle?

Pattie, I really think you need to wait at least 6 cycles for the bounce to clear before increasing Harley's dose. There are lots of examples on his spreadsheet where he needed a full 6 cycles to clear. Increasing too soon could just leave him in extremely low numbers again, and that is not safe.

Ditto what Libby said. I'd not like to see you go through the same drama as the other evening. You had to have been scared -- I would have been.

(Should I ask Marje to stop by with some patience pants?)

true, but you don't want a hypo either. There has to be balance. What if you hadn't gotten up at 1:00 the other morning?

I will try and get back home tomorrow a couple of times to get extra tests. I would like to try for the mid AM and mid PM tests to see what he does.

Pattie

I agree with Sienne, Libby, and Jill. Patience Grasshopper :-D That LO was scary to me. And the way he was acting...
Makes me sigh a big sigh for you and Harley.

I'm glad that you will wait for the bounce to clear, Pattie. I know you are worried about the IAA, but there does need to be a balance, and what happened the other night had to be pretty scary. nailbite_smile
