Hey all from San Clemente!

Doodles seems to be all over the place...question if she's been playing right before her test will her BG shoot higher? How long after she's had something to eat will it affect her BG test?
In a perfect world how should Doodles be before test time?

Her mood is awesome and yes interactive t.v. means she gets to jump on the rail and try and high 5 the doves! Thank goodness she doesn't have claws to snag them with. She's pretty fast!
I should put together a photo album of her adventures :lol:

Hope everyone had a great weekend with lots of low BG's ;-)
Mama bean and I had the weekend off whoo hoo. We both needed the sleep. Although I did take a break from snoozin and watched a little bird t.v.
Mama bean caught me trying to play interactive t.v., not sure why she doesn't like that game?
I had a really good weekend with my daddy bean home yeah! Except he had to go away again :cry: but he will be home on Thursday!!!

Heidi it was so much fun running into you at your store Sat.
About doodle's, can anyone tell you about how long it should take to see a nice nadir.
I'm thinking DD (double digits) nadir should be happening any time now...but i am so knowing nothing about lantus. just thought you might ask. guess i'm asking for you :lol:

Doodles wants to know more about the parties...because mamabean has to work that night :sad:
She also wanted to know if her brother Gotti could come too?
Maybe daddy bean can take her? He already thinks mamabean is nerd :lol:

Play shouldn't raise numbers unless, for some reason, Doodles get scared. Exercise will, in some cases, lower BG.

We recommend that you don't feed within 2 hours prior to a test. If you are feeding then shooting, there is usually a food spike the first hour after a meal. The +2 test would be roughly the same as your PS test. Lantus onset is somewhere around +2 or +3, but it depends on your cat's individual metabolism. This is why a 2-hour curve is important. It will inform you as to when Lantus onset and nadir occur.

Also when you ask about "...before test time," I'm responding to before PS tests. Since you should be getting spot checks, not all of the information I noted applies to mid-cycle checks.

Thank you for the information...no she's not getting scared :smile: just having lots of fun.
I'm guessing that her numbers are probably lower than what I am shooting. She is constantly eating. I'm not sure if I've ever taken a BG test when she hasn't had some sort
of food. I will have to get better I guess at giving her food and taking her BG test :YMSIGH:

I've been trying to hit at different times as ECID...to see where she is. Tomorrow I have to drive to L.A... so it will be a day without tests, will have to catch up at night.
