We are new at this, having only been shooting for a month. Ever since yesterday morning, his numbers have been in the normal range:
5/22 at 6:15a = 64; at 6:55=71; at 6:25pm 71
5/23 at 6:07am 71

Because they were low, I did not give him an injection at all. the last time he received insulin was Saturday night, as I am afraid of putting into hypo mode. He hasn't had dry food since Thursday (numbers in the 200 range that day); his Saturday numgers were in the 100s range.

I'm going to fax the list to the vet this am, and I was thinking about doing a curve tomorrow (as long as I can bring him into the office) instead of waiting until my next day off (Memorial Day) to check his BG more constantly.

Your thoughts? confused_cat

hi mom to Cedric, welcome to Lantus Land.

adding your previous thread here, also known as condo
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=43796&p=469033#p469033

those are nice numbers. anytime you can get a spotcheck is good info to have.
good luck!

Good morning....I don't think I have posted in your condo before so welcome.
It looks like the switch to wet food has made a big difference.

You can change your subject line to say AMBG 71 instead of AMPS since you did not shoot.

Is it possible for you to get a test about 3 hours from Cedric's AMBG to see what his numbers are after food. You are doing great.

Geez, I found my notes from my conversation with the dr on thursday, and he does say no dose if below 100.
Cedric is acting normal, wanting attention, biting me when he doesn't get enough. I did take a couple of photos of him last night to add to the "stresed kitties" thread, I just need to load them up tonight.

Wow, Cedric is doing great! Getting rid of that dry food is really making such a great difference in his numbers. :-D

I'm keeping both my fingers crossed that he's going to end up diet controlled! Go Cedric!

Hi guys, don't believe I have posted in your condo before, have I? Well it looks like removing dry food from cedrics diet has really helped his numbers, they look awesome .. have a great day guys!

Wow! on the change with getting rid of the dry food! :thumbup Cedric may be a very short resident here in LL! :-D :-D

it is great that you can take him in to work w/ you. How does he react? Some cats get really stressed in an unfamiliar environment (especially at the vet) resulting in higher BG readings.

The link that Roni gave you doesn't seem to work so her it is again http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=43796&p=468206&hilit=Cedric#p468206
