Morning LL! Moonie is doing fine today-Again I saw her trying to get her teeth into my new plant!!
Think we will put it outside before she devours it!! It's a calla lilly, sooo pretty -It is dangerous for cats so out it goes!!--Moonie must think it's delicious!! She had a little loose poo today, maybe from some roast beef we gave her last night..little piggy kept looking at me like she was starving!!...So I am watching what she eats.
Otherwise, she's fine..Hope all your kitties are doing well today..
I am going to neurologist today, wrote a medical history & meds to give them(just seems easier than them delving into everything verbally again & again) so that I am not there all day--
Hope he can find out what's with my optical migraines...
Have a beautiful day Kitties & Beans--Will visit when I return--

Hi guys .. oh very nice numbers for miss moonie! Yes, I do believe any lily is very toxic to kitties .. twix ate a lily petal and spent the next five days receiving fluids to flush out any poison in her body .. she had to have charcoal put in her as well, to absorb any possible poison. I'm glad you are moving the plant outside .. They are pretty but not pretty enough to put moonie at any risk! I hope you can figure out what is causing your optical migraines .. have a great day!

Moonie's numbers are looking nice and safe so you can leave later. Moonie, no more temptation with the plant! Good luck with the Neurologist appt. today, Roni. I hope they can help you with a treatment. Tgose migraines sound so painful. Hugs and scritches from us.

Moonie had a nice blue day! She was upset when I left for the DR, but was glad when I came home(she actually woke up to purr at me) She did fine.Moonie brightens my whole world!

Please say some Prayers for my DA (dear aunt) who is very ill right now in the hospital in Flor.
She has a respiratory infection and small bowel obstruction & is having a very bad time...
She is one of my only 2 relatives & is like a Mother to me..Please say some prayers for her recovery..
That's why I havent been on here as much the last few days...
Thanks my friends, the power of LL is amazing & I would appreciate any help you can give.

I went to neuro who prescribed every test in creation for me & prescribed something called topamax that has TONS of side effects that I dont like- I Dont want to take this...seems too harmful!

Otherwise things are just great :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll:

oh wow on the med that the dr guy prescribed. well - sounds like one to avoid..... good luck Roni - I hope they can help you with those migraines.

Hi Roni,
We are sending lots of good thoughts, prayers, and healing vines to your dear auntie.

Sorry to hear about your visit to the neurologist and about all of the tests. And that medication sounds like a prescription not to fill!! Are your visual migraines painful? I get them, too, and I never have any pain, just flashing triangles of light that start as a tiny dot in the center of vision and gradually enlarge into a semi-circle that obstructs vision. Then, over the course of about 20 minutes or so, the semi-circle expands and moves toward the periphery, where it passes out of vision and the whole thing is over. Duration, 20 minutes. If I'm driving, I stop and wait! I don't think that these auras are dangerous in themselves. They are only dangerous if they cause you to have an accident, which is why you should just sit quietly until they are over. Some people get the actual migraine after the aura, but when I get the aura, I don't get the migraine. EBID!

Moonie is looking very good today. Rusty is looking forward to the OTJ party tonight--lots of singing!

Roni, healing vines and prayers for your DA! She sounds very special to you. I hope for some good news and healing for her by tomorrow. I was checking back to see how your Neurologist appt. went today. I hope there's another drug or treatment that can help your ocular migraines.
Moonie is looking good and Mags is trying to keep up with her. Hugs and feel better vines for you and scritches to Moonie.

Nice day for Moonie. Roni, I'm so sorry about your aunt, will put her on the prayer chain and am sending snowflakes, white light, positive thoughts and healing vines. Please keep us posted. Try not to worry too much.

Hey Roni, I am totally with you on the Topamax. No offense to anyone reading this who takes it, but we (pharmacists) call it Stupamax because of the cognitive slowness it often causes. There are many other drugs to try for migraine prevention (Elavil and Inderal are a couple that come to mind). However, they do use low doses of Topamax to treat migraines so the side effects might not be too bad. :?

I am sending good thoughts to your aunt, I hope she feels better soon!

Roni, so sorry that your aunt's not feeling well, sounds like minor hic-cups. Hope she recover in no time.
Glad that Moonie brought you the furry comfort! A nice blue start too!

Sending prayers for your DA. It worries you even more when you are so far away.

I hope the test results give you some better options. Some drugs just seem worse than what they are supposed to cure. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Sending positive energy to your aunt and wishing her a quick recovery. Hope the migraines ease up. I suffer from them as well. I opt out of taking the meds as they make me feel too wonky.
 
Thank you all so much for the prayers for my DA! I am praying for her recovery too!! She jhas always been there for me, even now! Thanks for the well wishes..hope they do their magic..

As for us, Moonie has stayed the same number since pmps--Guess that's good, my sweet darling, she
is sooooo good! Keeps me going every day!! Keeps me on schedule :-D

May all LL have soft dreams, calm sleepus & good health, as that is the most important thing after all..

So sorry about your Aunt. I'll be thinking of her and sending good health wishes. I'm glad you moved the cala lily outside too. They're beautiful but dangerous for cats.

My daughter takes topamax for migraines and it helps her a lot and I take it for pain and neither of us have any side effects. As a matter of fact, I know several people taking it for one thing or another. It's very commonly prescribed. Every drug lists side effects but only some people get them & to a varied degree. I would try it if I were you. I definitely feel better when I take it than when I forget to. You can always buy part of the prescription to see if you have side effects and if not, go back and get the rest of it. It's just a thought, you have to do what you're comfortable with but it seems like after spending all that time and money going to a specialist you might want to try what he prescribed. Just my 2 cents. Whatever you decide to do, I sure hope your migraines get better. They can be really terrible.
