Good morning,

Yesterday's condo

Yesterday
AMPS=151 (f0.75u); +2=196; +9=205
PMPS=250 (f0.75u); +2=238; +6.75=257

Today
AMPS=229 (f0.75u); +2=209; +8.5=205
PMPS=283 (f0.75u); +2=205

Lucy didn't want to eat at first, but her appy picked up a bit, and she ate the 1st breakfast.
Her numbers have been higher since yesterday afternoon.
I am worried.... just a bit.
Her energy is low this morning, but her posture seems relaxed, not tense like when she is nauseated or in pain.
I'll just let her be and keep an eye for a while.

Sending vines to all in need.

Re: 5/22 Lucy AMPS=229

Just checking in on you and Lucy, Mariko. I'm sending out lots of appy vines for Lucy and anti-worry vines for you! (It's hard not to worry, I know.) :YMHUG:

Re: 5/22 Lucy AMPS=229

Hi guys .. glad to hear lucy decided she needed her fuddies this morning after all! Numbers aren't too bad, but I definitely understand the worrying! Have a great day guys!

Re: 5/22 Lucy AMPS=229

Hi Mariko! I'm glad that Lucy ate some for you and hope her appy picks up even more. Paws crossed on a nice slide back down to some pretty lower floors, I'm sending feel better and sliding vines to her:) And hugs to you! Have a good day:)

Re: 5/22 Lucy AMPS=229

Hi Mariko. I see the appetite is still an issue. Are you still giving cerenia? Many of us have had to continue nausea meds for months at a time and some of my list friends never are able to discontinue them. With Max, I only discontinue if he is eating well. I hope she improves today and her numbers too.

Re: 5/22 Lucy AMPS=229

I'm glad Lucy's appy picked up a bit - keep eating, little lady!

I wonder, too, if Lucy would benefit from a regular regimen of cerenia and/or pepcid. I've talked at great length about it with my vetty with all that has been going on with Trix this year, and she feels very comfortable recommending 1/4 cerenia every other day indefinitely, as well as pepcid BID, too. She's big on staying ahead of things like the tummy acid, rather than waiting for symptoms to appear. I know you like to keep meds to a minimum (I think we all do!), but sometimes the benefits do outweigh the risks. I know Lucy felt great after having the cerenia and pepcid at the vetty last week. Just something to look into...it could possibly keep both her and you off the rollercoaster.

Have a great day, Mariko!

Re: 5/22 Lucy AMPS=229

Thank you for your vines and suggestion. :smile:
I am prepared to give her the meds if she stops eating, but as long as I can get her to eat and her posture is comfortable, I'd like to go easy on the meds, especially those that are metabolized in the liver such as cerenia, at least until her liver values come down a bit (were sky high a week ago).
But of course, if she seems sick, I will give the combo to her.

Re: 5/22 Lucy AMPS=229;+2=209

I totally understand where your concerns about the liver. The only concern I have is that if you feed a nauseous cat they may develop a food aversion to the food. So you might want to feed the foods that she least likes just in case.

Re: 5/22 Lucy AMPS=229;+2=209;+8.5=205

Nice flat yellows today for Lucy. Maybe some blue or green later? It's good that she is relaxed, even though her appetite could be more robust. Eat your foods, Lucy.
Have a good evening, Mariko,

Ella & usty

Sending prayers for Lucy to a good appetite. It's good that she seems relaxed.

Re: 5/22 Lucy PMPS=283

Thank you for checking in on Lucy. :-D

I have no idea why her number is high.... almost pink.
Her energy is still low, but she's relaxed.
She's a sleepy girl.
Maybe she needs sleep so the ABs can do their job.

Lucy so far ate the 1st and 2nd dinner fine.
She wasn't excited about food, but she didn't say no thanks either.
She kept eating steadily as long as I finger-feed her - pea size at a time, so that wasn't too bad.

I was handling smoked salmon for my dinner before feeding the 2nd dinner to Lucy, so it probably helped that my hands smelled like salmon.
This could be my new trick.... rub my hands on smoked salmon before finger-feeding. :lol:

Re: 5/22 Lucy PMPS=283

Yummy - smoked salmon flavored finger feeding! Keep eating your fuds Lucy! Sending energy vines for Lucy.

You may have hit on something, there, Mariko! If Lucy likes salmon, the smell on her fingers might encourage her to eat. Of course, once she realizes she's not getting any salmon, she might not be so happy. :o

Sending appy vines. I hope she eats well for you tomorrow.
