I'm sure, like many others here, today is a time for sad reflection on the passing of brave sweet Zoey. Continued hugs and prayers for comfort to Rose and her DH as they heal their broken hearts, what an amazing couple they are. :bighug:

My DBF's cat has been missing for 4 days now and she is sure is has gone off to find a secret place to pass to the bridge, they have searched high and low for dear Corky but he doesn't want to be found. so sad.

It makes you just want to love your own furbabies that bit more, if that's possible, and keep them safe.

Well, Miss Crystal, not sure whether she is still constipated, there were 2 poos in the LB this morning but could have been any of 4 cats. DH said there was a fresh poo in the cleaned LB when he got up, so that ups the chances that it might have been Crystal's. I've been giving her a sprinkling of the miralax substitute on all her feeds today, plus there is already pureed pumpkin incorporated in her raw mix. She has a good appy, is out and about in the garden, fascinated by the comings and goings of the starlings in the bird box. It's near the time for the chicks to fledge so we have to be super observant to make sure the cats are not sitting there waiting for them. We've had the same family of starlings for 5 years now, they seem pretty smart and, as far as we know, we haven't lost a chick yet. They wait until the cats are napping or indoors before encouraging their young to take that all important first flight.

Vines to all those dear kitties in need and their beans.

Hi Suki,

I hope your DBF finds her cat. It is awful not knowing what has happened.
Last year a friend of mine had an old cat who disappeared and he thought she had gone away to die - she had kidney disease.
6 months later the phone rang and it was a local vet who said they had his cat Polly at their surgery. Apparently someone had found her 6 months before and had looked after her. Fast forward 6 months and they took her to the vet because she was sick and told the story of finding her. The vet checked her for a microchip, found she had one, and the vet phoned my friend. Poor Polly was very unwell and died a week or two afterwards, but it was lovely they were reunited.

I had to smile when I read your DH found poop in the LB. My DH is very supportive and will feed Sheba and helped me with testing when I first started testing by handing me the monitor etc but the LB would be a step too far for him.:joyful:
So it is looking hopeful that Crystal's poop issue might be resolved or resolving. I hope so.

Miss Crystal..we would like to see you in pretty blue today please
How are her snuffles? Are they any better?

Hello Bron, I like the story of your friend's long lost cat turning up, at least they were reunited for the end. I hope Corky turns up, but we fear the worse.

Crystal's snuffles definitely seem to come and go, very odd, but at the moment they are not present, although she still makes horrendous noises when she is eating or grooming, which she never used to. Must be the acro causing enlargement of the soft tissue in her mouth/throat.

Don't think she will see blue this cycle, probably give her some R at +11 if she is rising then.

DH is pretty good with LB patrol, but won't get involved with anything to do with needles, such a wuss.

Crystal still stuck in the yellow zone after a promising start at AMPS. gave her 2.5uR at +11 to catch the rise. No news either way with the constipation problem but seems happy enough in her self which, at the end of the day, is all that really matters. Prawns on the menu for us tonight so she's in for a treat, absolute all time favorite food for her, but probably not too good for the BG levels.

Crystal's bedtime test (well, actually mine) is 193 so she eventually made it to blue :cool:this cycle. I'll try to check her at some point during the night, but I have a throbbing headache so might miss it.
