Yesterday's Condo

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Rose and her awesome DH today as they grieve for their valiant Zoey. :bighug:

Well, Cinco finally got that reducie he's been hinting about for so long. He was having way too much fun in the deep end of the lagoon last night. I had to break out the 16% to lure him out - he really liked that! He's back on duty today, trying to make Rusty proud. :D

Minka had no appy this morning so I went straight to the Cypro and an hour later her breakfast was history. She still isn't acting as if she's uncomfortable, so I don't know what this p-titis is doing. Definitely waxing and waning with her.

Sasha wasn't too interested in food, either, even after her tummy meds. I got enough into her that I felt comfortable giving her the Pred, and an hour later her breakfast was gone! She's only on 1/2 tablet, same as Minka, but for Sasha it's as good as Cypro. I wish it worked that well with Minka.

Harvey got the leftover 16% for breakfast. There were no complaints for once.

I hope everyone is having an awesome Friday. For those in the US, have a great holiday weekend, and if you're travelling, please keep it safe!

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans, especially Carla & Callie, Deanna & Billie, and Georgia & Simon. :bighug: Special prayers for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, DH and DGD, Marje's DM, Chris' DM and Elise's DM.

Tiffany didn't get any appy benefits from pred either nor with mirt which made her meow and be hyper but cyproheptadine did the trick. I wish Minka had that side effect.

Cinco seems to like the reduction. That's great green for him!

Go Cinco! It's nice to see him back in the lagoon today. :D I'm glad the girls eventually ate for you. Thanks for thinking of me and Callie.

Very nice cycle today for Cinco!!

I guess he didn't hear that "how to get waterwings out to surfers in the deep end" training wasn't until today....or maybe he was just doing some extra homework before Rusty gave the lesson......LOL

Yo, Cinco! Welcome to the the Lagoon Patrol Crew! think you want to take over the late night shift for awhile. My beans are complaining.:woot: -- Tess

Thanks for visiting, Elise, Carla, Bron, Chris, Marilyn, Ann and Serryn.

Cinco was watching the shallow end today while China took a break on the beach. Looks like she's got the night shift. I hope Cinco learned well in training today. He didn't do a very good job practicing last night!

Appies for the girls were just okay tonight - Sasha required a lot of coaxing and still not great, so I slipped her a crumb of Cypro since she won't get her evening dose of pred until later. We did a steam session this afternoon and she stayed in the bathroom for another half an hour by herself, enjoying the warm, moist air. I was hoping, since Cypro is an antihistamine, that it would help her allergies, too. Poor little thing. She was feeling extra cuddly this evening and it just kills me to have to put her down and go tend to chores like fixing dinner for the beans. I was thinking about getting one of those baby slings for her. Think that would work with a cat?

Good thinking on the cyproheptadine helping as an antihistamine. I hope it worked. Cinco didn't miss a beat with the reduction. Work it little one but not too deep in the lagoon. I think your mama deserves a break. I don't know how you do it Tricia.

Thanks, Elise. The Cypro definitely worked on Sasha's appy. She came downstairs searching for food and was ravenous. I felt badly about doing that to her. I also felt awful watching her try to walk. It's obvious that her front leg hurts. I'm going to call the vet tomorrow and ask if I can give her Bupe, on top of everything else she's on. I'll make arrangements with the acupuncture vet this week to get that started. I just can't stand to watch her be in pain. :( I think it helped her sinuses, too, as she didn't sound as congested as she had.

Cinco is rocking this dose. I realize some of it is from the depot from the 1.0, but I really didn't expect him to go this low!:D I'll be interested to see where he ends up once the depot is drained and he's working on just the shots. Good thing I have no plans to go anywhere or do anything outside the home for the next few days!

I don't know how I do it, either. I almost had a breakdown tonight when I realized that Cinco has another hot spot!:( It's on his left side, near his rear leg. I have been suspecting one for a few days - kept finding tufts of his fur, but couldn't see anything on him. Tonight DH caught him in the act and I knew where to look. I put a shirt on him, but it's far enough down that I don't think the shirt is going to cover it. I suspect I'll be breaking out the giant e-collar tomorrow. :(:(:( Meanwhile, Cinco is pretty p.o.ed at me for putting the shirt on him!

He'll be more so tomorrow. :(

Cinco IS looking awesome in this dose :D! What a bummer about the hot spot. Do you know what causes them? Two of my civvies are "pickers", too, but they only pick when I'm prepping food - it seems to be somewhat of an anxiety behavior....I think.

Appy vines for the girls, and healing vines for Sasha's leg and allergies. You are a bean extraordinaire!!
