Good morning everyone
Hope all is well in PZI land
TGIF!!!

well I am a little confused with my Shakespeare

His was doing so well on the 2.5 unit, he started walking better, acting better but he was not going into the blues
I upped him to 2.75 and he is going into the blues but does not seem to be doing as well
He is drinking a little more, walking worse again.
I am wondering if it is because his amps and pmps are higher on the 2.75.
NOt really sure, if anyone has any input that would be great

Thanks and I hope everyone has a great Friday!!

You have been at that dose for quite a while. Some blue nadirs but not low nadirs. Will you be able to get a curve this weekend? Maybe up the dose by .25 and do a curve the second cycle he is on it?

Hi Sue,
I will definately do a curve thisweekend and see what he is doing, I would rather keep the dose he
is on right now because it brings him up higher in the amps and pmps and he doesnt feel well
when he goes that high...
so I will see what he does tomorrow
thanks

Good luck with the curve this weekend. I hope Shakes starts feeling better soon.
Hopefully, the curve will give you some more info to go on as to adjusting his dose.

Sometimes they do better on a dose but then get used to it and then need more insulin. Until you are seeing green nadirs, that pattern tends to repeat, and you keep sort of losing ground that way. I agree you need some more mid-cycle data, especially a nadir check, if you could get something like a +3 or +4, +6, and +9 that would really be helpful, and then I'm guessing a dose increase is what you need, but I will stay tuned for the curve results!
