Good Morning, Everyone (it's still barely morning here; getting a late start),

Rusty is probably bouncing from the two days of green, but last night's shot was also a short shot and he ate his bedtime food just before we got up, so all of that might account for the higher number this morning. He sounded like he was vomiting in the middle of the night last night, but we couldn't find it. And no hairball either, so far. It is very hot (for here) today--80 degrees. Rusty had a nice amble around the backyard this morning and is now having a nap in his basket. He ate his breakfast late, and probably won't be hungry for lunch, which is about to be served.

My migraine is still in the background (day 2 of the usual 3-day headache), but I don't like to let it get to me. I did some laundry, baked the cookies for the potluck (gingersnaps with lots of "cimmamum"; the kitties ate all the ones they baked yesterday!), put my new saddle on my road bike and adjusted it (will try it out this afternoon), and we walked downtown. It sure is HOT!

bbl, hope all is well in LL,

Ella & Rusty

I had no idea you suffered from migraines!

Hoping it goes away now...and you never get another!

Thanks, Celi! I never knew they were migraines: I always thought they were sinus headaches, but I found out a few years ago that they are migraines (for years I had the "aura" without the headache and I still occasionally get the aura without the headache; never put 2 & 2 together!!)

Rusty was outside enervating in the heat. we brought him in! I'm about to go on a short ride to try out my new saddle.

I suspect all of the reasons you listed are responsible for Rusty's AMPS. Oh well, it's just a number, he is coming down.

I used to suffer from complicated migraines. I tried acupunture and it worked. Of course, I use more holistic medicine than allopathic medicine, severe drug reactions. If you have an acupuncturist it may be worth a try. I also found COPE, (prior to the acupuncture) helped if I took it when the auras started. Hope you have a good day. 80's sounds good, it's 90+ and humid here.

Hi all! Yep, I suspect you are on target with the reason for the high amps. He's headed down, will be back in Rusty numbers soon. Right Rusty?

Bummer on the migraine - I hope you feel better soon. Kudos to you for not letting them get to you. :-D

I hope the new saddle works - enjoy the bike ride. I hope it is not too hot. we are at 54, with off and on showers... so much for our week of good weather: looks like we are back to the rainy stuff.

Have a good ay Ella, and feel better!

Hi again,
Rusty came down nicely. My new saddle is great (Terry, women's TRX). We are about to leave for the potluck and will be back in time for PMPS.
Thanks, Barbara, for the tips. When I get the aura I never get a headache, just those annoying flashing lights. My migraines are primarily triggered by changes in barometric pressure. Scritches to Tuffy.
Michelle, sorry your weather changed back to "normal"!!!!!

bbl,

'Evening Ella. What a nice day for Rusty.

I sometimes hear puking in the night and can't find it next day. One day, I did find a big dried up hairball, up against the wall on a tricolored carpet. It blended in perfectly. Blech!

I hope you feel better tomorrow.

Have a restful evening.

Hi Ella, It's looking like a nice day for Rusty. He came down nicely. I get that high AMPS also for Mags from food. I hope your migraine is gone. Barometric pressure changes can really affect us. Neat on the mountain bike. Enjoy the potluck and  on the kitty potluck pic.

Re: 5/20 Rusty AMPS 188, +6 122, +9.5 75, PMPS 88

Hi again,
Liz, Yes, I do have a mountain bike, but it is ancient (a Canondale from the early 1980s), too big, and really what was called "all terrain" then. I ride it around town and occasionally when someone wants to ride on dirt roads, but I couldn't use it as a real mountain bike. My road bike is a Merlin and I also have a folder--a Bike Friday. In NYC I keep an old Trek 520 touring bike. As you can see, I'm "into" cycling!!

So great to see that Rusty cleared his bounce. I hope there was no pukus!
