Good Morning LL!!
(traveling brew today, thx Elsa, KB!), and Happy Monday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista! HEY! I am so glad that I have Mannie's espresso recipe book, he made such GOOD STUFF! Thanks Mannie! . I've been trying to teach the new ones here, but they are so unfocused!I gives up! On a good note, they are a wizz at clean up on ice cream messes... lick like lick, so Ollie, dude, no need for them sponges! so. well. anyways. onwards! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot Breve's made from Sun-Dried Sumatra Rasuna beans. For all you mocha fans: a VENTI Quad Cimmamum and Frango Mint infused white mocha/mocha blend with Frango chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cimmamum whip garnished with cimmamum sprinkles, white chocolate curls and frango mocha drizzle. AND a dollop of cimmamum ice cream.... YUM! Mannie made such good things! I am so glad I found his recipe book..... I wonder why he never added ice cream.... it is mega good.....
It was a decent day here yesterday for the New Furkids. The new kids are adjusting well. One would think that they had lived here forever. Lola has mellowed out alot, and is more settled. Bug has discovered a box I left out and he was been sleeping in that on and off all day. Elsa seems to be better about the "intrusion" and is hissing less. In time she will be fine. It still amazes me that we did not have to isolate them. Elsa has been able to find her space without it, so WOW, and good to go.
My son stopped by to meet them yesterday, and he gave his stamp if approval. Both Lola and Bug came up to meet him, with lots of head buts and kitty kisses, and purrs. That was so nice to see. SWEET! Here is the Picassa link to the photos I took yesterday: Elsa, Lola, and Bug
I did make a short woods to shore walk to Meadowdale, my local trail walk. I too some photos, mainly becasue I was so taken back by the vibrant greens of the trees. The creek was so pretty too, so took some more of that too. In case anyone is interested in that, here's the Picassa link: Meadowdale
Have a great day everyone! I am off today to go hiking over the mountains to a location in Eastern Washington: Ancient Lakes, and Breezley Hill Preserve. I am so looking forward to this one. Ancient Lakes is a gorgeous coulee hike with incredible canyon walls, and a waterfall lake system, at trails end. I love these lakes. In good weather they sparkle from azure blue for one to emerald green in another. There are four small lakes next to each other, each one boasts a different color. So pretty! Breezley Hills is a few miles west of the lakes and I hope to visit that to see the wildflowers there, as the area is well known for a terrific display. SO!: I hope the weather is good when I recheck it in a few, and the off I go! Enjoy your day everyone - I know I will mine. A great location and the drive over the mountain pass is equally as good, with still snow covered mountains. YaHOO!
