Not quite enough green.

Just got to stick with the program until you get that liver trained again.

Here's hoping the quirky waddle is nothing much.

I have some fans here of the Tiggy videos, they are requesting more "psycho cuteness" if possible.

Yikes on the PMPS but of course stay on it and keep track of the numbers just in case.

What goes up must come down, sometimes in a hurry.

Wendy, I checked Shadow’s file and did see the video. Tiggy unbalanced / shaky on his back, Shadow was the same but on her “front”. The vet checked her out both times, thought might be middle ear infection, did the swabs and other test, all came back negative so she said it must be neurological problem. She got clindamycin (antirobe ) and whatever was a problem was gone but as I said she had hard time to balance out her front and couldn’t measure it the height etc. that is why she felt off from everything.
Tiggy unbalanced on his back legs. I hope the vet can point it out the problem. Did he have a blood work? What would show if maybe potassium level low. ( he is a very pretty boy!!)

Holy molly it took me over two hour to able to connect and post; now the same post is tripled, how can I take two of them off. Please.

Spoke to the vet today. He doesn't think its neuropathy. He said he would like to do a neuro exam to test his reflexes as he thinks it might well be neurological. And he may send us to a neurological specialist.

Again with Tiggy and the weird diseases

Wendy

Ps got my mums civvie cats staying with us today and boy are they fat!! They don't eat much, 1 can friskies (mainly pâté) and 1/6 cup of iams weight control a day each . My math says it's only 200 calories a day they are getting meanwhile they are easily 17lbs each. I have stopped the dry for now (50 cals a day) -no one gets dry in my house!! but am not sure how much to feed since it seems like they aren't even getting enough right now. Mind you they also don't get much exercise either...

"neuropathy" "neurological"... both "neuro... however his irregular waddle was there when he was OTJ and well before?

And what is it about those dry weight control formulas? Weight loss through Feline Diabetes? :-x :-x

I suspect low carb (higher protein) wet food may actually be a more effective weight loss diet.

It was sort of there, he walked and ran fine, no waddle. But he would jump off things and smack his tail on the floor. And misjudge leaps a lot. But his walk was normal. I still think there is a connection to the diabetes that makes it worse.

I was wrong and he dropped low this morning, and DH didnt get more tests. Oh well next time.

No eating dry in my house, I think I will give them 1.5 cans of wet a day each around 200 calories. So same amount of calories but like you said, more protein, see where it takes them.

Wendy

Are they yours to convert long term? I would get them entirely off high carb food for sure.

There you go.

And the benefits of regulation are many. I think (and I've found with Chip) it's worth the effort to keep them regulated. I think you can get back there and perhaps still maintain your sanity. ;-)
