I've been away for work the last couple of days and my petsitter has been looking after Mooch. I left her some Fancy Feasts for Mooch to try and my petsitter chopped up the food and mixed in the gravy and he's been eating quite a bit of it. I never thought of that as he hated the Merricks foods which are also all chopped up with gravy... Anyway I'll keep trying that with the Fancy Feast and start to slowly reduce the kibble.
