5/2 Haley - Trial Day 13 - AMBG 127, +3 87, +6.5 93, PMPS 93, +6.25 83, +9 95

Hi Shirley :bighug: Just here to send encouragement :cat: Haley is doing so wonderful and if she needs a bit more insulin, it's okay :bighug: You are doing a wonderful job with her :bighug:

Well, ty, but last night you had me in tears. I felt like you thought I wasn’t doing what I was supposed to be doing for Haley. You asked me if I was giving her her +9 snack and I said that I was but then you asked ask me again. You asked me if I was still using the Relion Prime. If I wasn’t I would’ve updated my signature. I just had to get it off my chest because it’s been really bothering me. That being said, I know you meant well. I can’t tell you how much I do appreciate you and all of the others being on top of watching out for Haley. I do appreciate it more than words can say. Besides my own children, Haley is my very top priority and even that is by just a smidge.

Shirley, I am so sorry if I upset you. That was not my intention. I didn’t think for a moment you were not doing all you could for her. I know how hard and tiring it can be looking after a diabetic kitty and I know you are doing everything possible for her. As helpers we need to ask questions just to make sure nothing is being overlooked by us... sometimes we ask them twice, especially if we are having a busy night on the forum.
If I repeated any questions it was probably because I had been online for several hours helping people.
I was checking which meter to make sure I was not making a mistake. If it had been a pet meter, the numbers would have been fine.
I know how disappointing it is to get this far and to have to give some more insulin.
I apologise again if I upset you :bighug:. I would never knowingly do that to anyone on this forum.

Hi, Bron. Apology accepted. Again, thank you for looking out for Haley. I just tested her. She went down to 87!

We'll keep cheering you and Haley!
You're both doing so amazingly, and hopefully this little extra help will her to a strong and lasting remission :bighug:
You're not alone in this. :bighug:

I'm glad you said what you felt, there's nothing worse than building it up inside. And I saw yesterday's condo, and was actually thinking why Bron asked the same questions. I didn't once think it had anything to do with you, not even the slightest bit. But what Bron is doing isn't easy, there's a lot of responsibility in this, giving advice. I understand why you felt the way you did, but I'm very happy that Bron just wanted to make sure, just to keep Haley safe :bighug:

I can’t thank you enough for all your support and kind words. I pray that she’ll come to a strong and lasting remission. No kitty deserves this. I’ll do everything I can. I love the beautiful little girl so much❤️

I had to get it off my chest. She’s too important to me to not have. I was in tears, for Pete’s sake. I couldn’t let it eat at me. I have no doubt that helping diabetic kitties is a huge responsibility. I know I wouldn’t be able to do it. I couldn’t be more grateful for this board and the people in it. I’m sure I would’ve been a failure without all of you. I can’t think you enough, again, for your support and kind words❤️

If I may....

Part of the role of a moderator it to make sure that the board operates smoothly. Given your reaction, I went back and read through your thread. If Bron is guilty of asking things twice, so is anyone who has been here for a while and takes the responsibility for helping others. I've asked the same question more than once and have repeated a question that someone else has asked. It is exceptionally difficult to keep all of the kitties in one forum, let alone two (Bron helps out on the Health board) straight. If you were unaware, Bron is in Australia and is often one of a very small group of people who will take the "night" shift and more often than not, she's doing this single handedly. From the perspective of insuring your cat is safe, I would rather any member asked twice or as many times as necessary to be confident that the feedback they are providing is information they are confident in and know all of the details as it pertains to YOUR cat. It is not a matter of doubting you; it's a matter of being sure we understand or have all of the needed information. One thing that often helps is keeping even more detailed information in the "comments" section of your spreadsheet. In part, it helps you to remember if you need to go back for information and it's invaluable to the rest of us who don't live with your cat.

Hi. I appreciate your checking in with me and what you're saying. I'm very thankful for the help of everyone on here, including Bron. It's amazing how you all care about our kitties and are doing your best to keep watch on them.
Overall, that discussion was about Haley going back on insulin. I'm sure you understand that this is a stressful and sad time for me, making me emotional. Of course, I wouldn't know that Bron is in two forums and working several hours helping all these kitties. All I knew was that my girl isn't going in the right direction. I just felt that Bron thought I wasn't taking proper care of Haley. For a sugar baby Mom, who puts Haley first in my life, I found that upsetting. So, I hope you can also see my point of view, also.

But you're so close, Shirley :bighug:
I believe full heartedly you'll get there.
One way to look at it, is that it actually isn't going in the wrong direction. The point is to get a strong lasting remission, not just a month or two off duty.
I understand it's very emotional, but no one is doubting you, it's more that we care :bighug:
I hope you'll let us follow you and Haley the rest of the way :bighug:
To me, you and Haley is very inspiring!

Thank you for your kind words. I hope you're right. Yes, I want a strong, lasting remission, too. I'm determined not to let anything horrible happen to this beautiful little girl. I know you all care. You're all wonderful and amazing people to do what you do. I'd really be a mess if it wasn't for you all. Yes, of course, I'd love for you to follow Haley and I. Inspiring? Wow. Thank you!
