Sooooooo got the results of Gordys thyroid test.... heres the vets words: "Gordy is indeed very hyperthyroid. I'll have to say I don't know if I've seen values this high on this test." i don't have the actual numbers - I'm going to ask for them when I pick up his pills tomorrow.

I think the plan is to start with 2 pills a day and then a new test (ugh, money). And hopefully his values have come down that we can switch him to the transdermal. He is a good boy... but I don't know how he'll tolerate being pilled twice a day, long term.

All so crazy! I wonder how this will effect his diabetes...

Like Carla said....sorry about the diagnosis, but at least you can treat him now.

HyperT make it harder to regulate a cat. Hopefully treating it will help the diabetes side of things. I second Paul’s recommendation for the thyroid group. They may have comments on dose.
