So, Jones is back on the pred from the budesonide. He seems to be better in the last few days. I also did a tiny dose increase as it looked like his pancreas was a little stressed. Went from a F1 drop to 0.1U less 6 drops (his old dose before we started the vacation dose). Micro-dosing at its finest! He is seeing more greens again, which is nice. He did drop below the 90 mark and had held it for a bit, so I took 1 more drop out last night.
Did a keytone test as he came to pee in the litter box I just cleaned it (sigh) - so took the opportunity when I had it. That came back negative!
So, I failed the level II patience course by Jones, however I am retaking the course again. So the new plan:

So, I failed the level II patience course by Jones, however I am retaking the course again. So the new plan:
- Stick to the pred. We went back to it on the 04-28 and he does seem to be doing a little better now.
- Mirtz given in the evening of the 30th, as he didn't eat much that day and was way below the calorie intake. He made up for it that night.
- Re-introduced the homemade food for him as I was trying to get him to eat. Going slow, adding in a teaspoon on the first day 29th and 30th. Saw some gooey poo - not sure of his, but holding at the tsp per meal for now. He has eaten well for the last few days (mirtz influenced) will see if that continues.
- No more appetite stimulants unless he is way below his normal calorie intake for 2 days in a row.
- Keep food consistent. I have offered so much over the last two weeks or so to tempt him. I really just need to get him on the homemade diet so I can take out as many IBD variables as possible. So we are sticking with FF Turkey, Wellness Turkey/Chicken and the homemade Bison.
- Keep reminding myself that if he is doing good and happy - that is good enough - no need to improve on things.
That is it for the world of Jonesy.
