How are Ravan and Peggy Sue today

They are both doing good. I am always amazed how CBD oil gets Peggy Sue to eat. She's still very thin but eating good.

It's raining outside but they both are in a good mood. Ravan was downstairs & started yowling (calling me ) I began imitating the sounds he was making & to my surprise he came running really fast up the stairs & jumped up on the computer desk!
He looked so Happy to see me & started head butting me & purring :joyful: ( once again I think it's the CBD oil making them feel relaxed & in a good mood)

How's the weather where you're at? Geologist, sounds like an interesting line of work? What kinds of things does it entail?

That’s so great to hear! CBD is really coming into its own and so much research is showing the positive effects! What a relief to be seeing Ravan so spritely.

I work in a mine, my job is basically to compare drill hole data with model data and flag problem areas for mine planners. It’s an interesting job and I really like it!!

We’re having really sunny weather right now and have family in town. Right now I’m having a beer out on a patio and life is good. I’m going to to send some sunshine your way to put a cherry on the cake of CBD oil doing it’s job!!

What a beautiful start for Mr. Ravan today! I'm really glad to see those yellows took a hike after the dosecrease. Keep surfing Ravan! I hope you're enjoying your Saturday Joy!

@JoyBee and Ravan: We struggle so much to get Mimi to eat wet food. What brand of CBD oil do you use? There is so much out there now that I am not sure what is good and what is not. We live in SF Bay Area. Thanks!

I've been using Paws by Charlotte's' Web for about 5 years https://www.healthyhemp.com/product/charlottes-web-paws-pure-hemp-extract-oil-in-mct-oil-1-oz/
It's expensive but I only give 3 drops a day & it lasts a long time. ( the label dosage is for a dog I found for my cats 3 drops work best.)

My Vet called Cornell University To ask them about a recommendation They said Paws by Charlotte's Web Or ElleVet Sciences for Felines https://ellevetsciences.com/products/feline-oil

They told him they had tested a lot of popular CBD oil & a lot of them had barely any cannabinoids in them. You do need to be careful what you buy. My vet has been using it for his dog with severe arthritis. He said he sees a definite improvement.

Fortiflora for cats is also helpful. My 3 cats are very picky about me putting "anything " in their food. Occasionally I'll Dust a tiny bit of the Fortiflora on Ravan's food when he's really off from eating. He will usually eat it then.

Let me know if you use it & if it works for your kitty :) The CBD might take a day or 2 till it kicks in. If I could afford it I'd buy it for myself !

Are you on the Lantus forum? I don't see a SS (spread sheet) for your cat?

The advisors here as so Knowable they can advise you about dosing & so much more! If your kitty had a UTI you can give it D-Mannose It's derived from cranberry you just mix it in water & give it with a feeding syringe It keeps bacteria from sticking to prevent UTI's

There's a lot to learn & it would be very helpful if you were on the lantus forum :)

I am on the Lantus Forum as the past two weeks have been nightmarish with our newly diagnosed kitty. I have the SS in my signature, though i have noticed that mine shows as a link and not with a name like most of those on the forum. Not sure why. TBH I am so exhausted that I barely know my name.. :)

I am so exhausted that I barely know my name..

Believe me I know Exactly how you feel! The word "Exhausted" has become a BIG part of my vocabulary!
Take a look at Ravan's SS. Not sleeping is standard because I test a lot! The SS has become so valuable to me. I look at it Many times a day. You can learn so much from studying it.

The more you read ,the more you know the easier it becomes! EASY NOPE.jpg

@Marje and Gracie could you please help Mimi and Velvet Mirth out with their SS When you have the time (I don't know if you're back yet or still travelling? ) Thank You :bighug:

@Marje and Gracie could you please help Mimi and Velvet Mirth out with their SS When you have the time (I don't know if you're back yet or still travelling? ) Thank You :bighug:
I can. I’m actually in the car driving across east TX but @Miimi and Velvet Mirth, here are the instructions:

Instructions for pasting the SS link in your FDMB Signature block:

1. Login to FDMB and click on your user name in the upper right corner.

2. Select "signature”. The signature block is limited to three lines. If you have a lot of other information in your signature block, please be sure you place the spreadsheet link so it is easily located by other members (i.e. please don’t stick it at the very end of a long, detailed description of medications).

3. Put your cursor in the text box, type in your kitty’s name with the word “Spreadsheet” (e.g. Furbaby’s Spreadsheet), highlight those words, and then click on the “hyperlink" icon above the text box:

4. A text box will open that states "link"; paste your link into the box next to “URL” and click on “insert”.

5. This should result in the highlighted text turning light blue which means it is now a hyperlink to the spreadsheet and anyone clicking on it can see the spreadsheet.

6. Click "save changes" and you're done!! Great job!!!! If you need any help at all, please send me a private message by clicking on “Marje and Gracie” (to the left under Gracie’s photo) and then “Start a Conversation”. I am more than happy to help you or do the Spreadsheet for you.
