Checkers, come baaaaaaaack....yer on the wrong escalator!!

Yikes, I thought I was so smart yesterday, and would avoid this. :YMSIGH: ......I was dead to the world last night and didn't wake up to test. He may have gone down again during the night. I had gravied him at +2, because I was overly tired.

Other people around here, felt the earthquake in Canada, yesterday. I think I was on the mower at that time, so I wouldn't have know the difference. Susan felt it at work in Buffalo.

Morning Barb, and Checkers, come back this a way! Yikes on th earthquake. I have not heard the real news yet. Seems like earthquakes can happen anywhere, Canada, or any of the states and not just us here. Have a great day, Barb.

Checks, turn it around....NOW!!!!

We had an earthquake here in Central Jersey a couple years agon. I didn't feel it (I was cleaning the bathroom when it hit), but my business partners felt it at the store, which is just a mile away. I was surprised the cats didn't sense it.

I hope you got some good rest!!

Omigosh, what an awful day. Checks allowed me to go shopping anyway.

I brought back some chicken to share. WalMart's version of KFC. Checks got the chicken, bean got the breading. :lol:

There was an earthquake? Wow. We missed that one! Maybe Checkers is reacting to the quake. Or maybe he's just in this weird pattern of going HI. So, Checks, what are you going to do about it?

Checkers, I hope you're coming down now, and keep on coming down nice and easy and steady until morning.
I've felt lots of earthquakes in California. They're pretty exciting. Maybe the earthquake there affected Checkers.

I was in the earthquake in DC last year, and it was scary. That's the one Amy felt in NJ ... it traveled far under our hard bedrock. I was in front of a big glass wall on the 4th floor with a glass walkway to another building. The walkway was twisting and turning. I admit, never having felt one before, I froze like a deer in the headlights. It didn't last very long, but it shook me up. I hope everyone was ok.

Checkers was fine and had a little green, yesterday. Today, he is HI all day. I'll never understand this crazy bouncing...if that's even what it is.
He seems to feel well. Eating nicely....he was out on harness, walking around, chomping on grass. Just being normal.

I get so scared when he does this. :cry:
I'm afraid to go to bed, but there isn't anything I can do about it. I feel guilty going to sleep.



I didn't feel the earthquake, Susan did, and told me about it.

I've never heard anyone else mention this. There is a correlation between Checkers ear temperature and his bg number.

When he is low, his ears are cold. I've always noticed that, but tonight, his ears were so hot, I thought he had a fever, but declined to try to take his temp.
Just now, I noticed immediately, that his ears were cooler than an hour ago, and sure enough, his number has lowered!

Is my cat the only one like that? Hmmmmmm, nobody is gonna answer this, so late. Maybe I'll pose the question again tomorrow.
 
I noticed back when Shadow was on insuiln that her ears would get really warm.... hot almost .... but I couldn't ever really find out the why.

But if Checkers's ears cool off , could be useful for you.... and certainly make you feel better....
